Review: I went in for a cavity causing appetite loss and severe pain. The tech informed me that preventative clening needed to be done first then the tooth could be fixed. The needed X-rays taken so I requested my previous ones to be sent over. They stated to take one of the aching tooth but proceeded to take alll the X-rays, of course at my expense until I stopped them. The refused to fix my cavity as their advertised"emergency tooth repair" on the building. They expect me to pay 50 co pay plus unrequired X-rays which the took.
Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund
I was estimated charged from my insurance company 81 dollaors for X-rays. 50 co pay out of my pocket and 31 towards insuramnce. I would like this bill cancelled as this was not required.

Business' Initial Response
This patient came to us for the first time on 6/18/13 saying he had severe tooth pain. To better understand the problem, we did a limited exam and took x-rays that were necessary for us to diagnose the problem. After speaking with the patient we recommended a treatment plan which he refused. Since he refused our diagnosis and recommendation, we decided that it was in the best interest of the patient and of our office that he have his treatment elsewhere. We had already decided to not charge him for his visit; however his insurance was billed when we did the exam, so a refund check has already been sent to reimburse the insurance company. Our office has never asked him for payment or sent him any statements.
Please let us know if this answers your questions. Would be happy to provide more information.
Consumer's Final Response
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They tried to charge me but since they insisted the best treatment plan for the extreme pain was to clean my teeth. Then fix the cavity of course for a astronomical charge. I just walked out and did not pay, they front desk tried to collect the copay but I walked out. I felt no services where liable for charge.
Keep in mind I already had digital X-rays but they insisted on taking new ones. This after the tech said the recent ones would be fine. They made excuses to why the previous X-rays where not in hand to try to charge me for new ones. Stating my old office would not release them. When I called them they where very cooperative.
