At years of age, I have had minor cavities filled (more than years ago) and my previous dentist has told me that he monitors my existing cavities for changes and deep grooves for possible cavity development, but I am unlikely to need additional fillings in my lifetimeHe said, I should however watch for gum recessionAll very reasonable and non-intrusive assessmentsI tried Smiles at Reston, because of their proximity to my work and have been repeatedly pressured to have my existing cavities refilled and a couple of deep grooves filled and when I politely declined, the dentist in particular became almost belligerent and was forcing the instrument into my teeth and making me feel bad for declining the treatmentI've seen this dentist's office about times now and did agree once to refilling an existing cavity, and had a near panic attackIt was very uncomfortable for me and I did not want to repeat the process, but this dentist's office puts too much pressure on the customer to get work done that is not really neededThey do have modern equipment and procedures and are very competent, but I cannot be forced into treatment that is unnecessaryI WILL NOT RETURN TO THEM IN MONTHS
