If I could leave 0 stars I would. I ordered an aligner kit for my wife around a year ago and still don't even have the aligners. They had sent out putty to align her teeth and every single time we used the putty they would say it isn't good enough. We would use the putty, send a picture, and wait a day, sometimes a few days for a response before starting the next. They sent very limited amounts of putty at a time, so before you knew it, you took 2 molds of the teeth and a week is gone already. You would send it back which took a couple days in the mail, they would send it to you which would take a couple days, and there goes another week. Repeat the process over and over. The customer service responses were never very helpful and the response time was way worse. It would honestly be a week or so before they'd reply to my message sometimes. My wife only needs her top teeth aligned, so they said they would knock 50 dollars off the price (even though they are doing literally half the work). 1 year later they have stopped responding entirely to me. Their policy is if you aren't satisfied with your preview you get a refund, but we never even got to the preview stage. When you try to call, nobody picks up. I requested a refund online as we never got to the preview stage, and they said they would email me back within 5 days due to high volume. I never got any email back from the company and I although their website is still up and accepting orders, I looked on bestcompany.com and it says as of March 2020 Smilelove is out of business. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! YOU WILL GET SCAMMED OUT OF YOUR MONEY AND TIME.
My complaint doesn't fall within the options given, so I'm hoping I could get help here. I paid for aligners upfront to receive the impression kit, after I finally got my preview, which was a few weeks later than was told and a few emails later, I didn't like the preview as I was told I would need to shave a tooth and go to the dentist. I did not approve the preview and was told I qualified for a refund and would take 3-5 days to process with them and up to 10 days to process with my bank. Several months later, I've yet to receive my refund. At first my emails were ignored and now the only response I've gotten back is that they were closed due to Covid 19. But my refund was promised to be before federal guidelines forced them to shut down. Now during this pandemic is when we need money the most. It's a lot of money! I hope that when/if they get their company up and running they'll get people their money back.
I paid them $1599 for retainers, I have no aligners and can't get a hold of anyone to workout a refund. This hurts. I feel scammed.
This company is a scam. Like many other people have said in their reviews. They will not give me a refund of $250 or the $62 that came out of my bank account for the first month since I financed for 2 years for $1400 and some dollars. They will not return dozens of emails I have sent them. They will not call Cleargate the finance company they finance through and tell them I’m no longer under a financial obligation to them. I returned the unopened box of aligners with the 30 days to get a full refund. This was in early March, still no refund or reply from them!!
I am going to have to take them to court because after them rejecting my daughters impressions after video assistance from Smilelove over and over (almost a year!) they finally accepted the impressions and then we got the treatment plan and it was a joke! I contacted them immediately and told them how dissatisfied I was with the projected outcome. They then said that she needed buttons and they do not provide buttons and I said I want my money back and they said no problem but then they never gave me my money back. This was all prior to the coronavirus outbreak. After Emailing them and trying to call them over and over again someone finally contacted me by the name of Mitch and he told me I cannot get a refund even though I have the email that said that they were going to refund me plus prior to me signing up I was guaranteed and I even have it in writing. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company... they are liars!
They are still charging me even though I haven't received anything!!! How do I go about getting my money back now????
My initial experience with this company was positive. The customer service was great and they were very efficient in getting the information I needed to me. My first treatment was over and my teeth were still not straight. I had big gaps in several places of my mouth. Keep in mind that I am someone who used to have braces and whose teeth shifted just enough for me to want something to return them to their original place. I didn't have overly crooked teeth or a messed up bite. This is why I went with Smilelove.
I am in my last week of refinements and my teeth look almost EXACTLY like they did when this whole process began over a year ago. I am shocked and very disappointed. I have emailed several times and filled out a form on their site twice now. No response.
I am very disappointed and need to figure out how to get this situation taken care of or at least a partial refund at the minimum.
So this has been the most ridiculous process and poor customer service I have ever received. I first placed this order in January and not only did I have to pay the full amount up front which was about $1400, I have not heard from the company in over month even after sending multiple emails and trying to get in contact. To take people's money during a pandemic and then not even respond to their concerns when that money can be used for food and rent is the most bizarre thing I've ever experienced. I have absolutely nothing to show for the money I have given this company and I still have not had a response to get my refund. All these promises and now not even a peep. Please beware!!
started in january, still waiting, emailing calling, no response. cant tell if they are out of business or really just just down temporarily due to virus???

They couldn’t provide satisfactory aligners for my teeth, no problem I’d like a refund according to their policy. They agreed and never issued it. It’s going on four months. Every once in a while they respond with the company line “we’re sorry to hear that I’ll take care of that”
Or “it should be 7-10 business days” etc etc. These guys are frauds.
I had very high hopes to be able to straighten my very slightly crooked teeth. My teeth were straight enough that friends and family thought I was crazy to
even spend the money that smile love charged for aligners (and they are much cheaper than the rest). After all was said and done, I thought my teeth would look perfect, after all they were barely crooked...Well they looked ok, a little better, but nothing outstanding. My real issue is how the aligners started to make my teeth chip! It weakened them to the point that 2 of them chipped. The first tooth to chip isn't as noticeable in the picture bc it was from a couple months back and I didnt correlate it being from the aligners at first and it has smoothed out a bit since. The second tooth that chipped was very significant and I realized it was from the aligners bc it was a little more sore when I would put the aligners in...maybe it was cast incorrectly? Either way, I reached out to smilelove with my issue bc I refused to continue to wear the aligners after 7 months bc I didnt want my teeth to continue to chip. I am still paying for these destructive aligners, but the response I received was that maybe I have the type of saliva that weakens my teeth and that's what caused it. They were very polite but basically said it's my fault and that maybe I also didn't brush or floss enough too. I explained I dont have weak teeth. I have had 2 cavities in 30+ years, I brush 3x a day and floss religiously. They also explained that bc I went through affirm to finance that there is nothing they could do bc they were already paid...very mad! Please beware!!!
This company is an absolute SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! THEY HAVE TAKEN MY MONEY AND CONTINUED TO DO SO EVEN AFTER I WAS ABLE TO REACH A LIVE AGENT AND HAD ALREADY ASKED FOR A FULL REFUND!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to cancel my debit card to insure they didn't steal any more money from me!
Ordered on February 18 and still haven't received the aligners. No response to calls, texts, emails, FB messages.....They're still taking out my monthly payments even though I have no product. They also charged me TWICE for $1495 even though I paid a $250.00 deposit and monthly payments. So they owe me aligners, plus money back. Filed a dispute with my bank, but that could take up to 10 business days.
This company scammed me out of $250 and will not give me a refund. Today my account was billed $62 And I can’t get in touch with anyone. I just want my money back.
I purchased aligners from Smile Love LLC. I paid in full up front. They sent the wrong kit and sent another. I asked if these were what I needed, never heard back. Some more trays came and I knew they were to small. I have tried over and over to get the impressions correct. You send them pictures and it takes forever to hear back. I asked for a refund and told them to deduct for the cost of the kit. Took two tries and over a week and a half to hear back, at that time they said I had missed the 30 day refund time period which I knew NOTHING about. told me I should make more impressions and send them in and make a video call. I don't have a way to do so. I sent a message back and told them so. In other words Smile Love has $1495.00 of my money and I don't have anything but a kit I can't use. The only thing I ever saw was that if it wasn't for me I would get a refund. I wish I had looked here and read what is posted. I would have never done business with them. Total RIP OFF!
I have not received my aligners. I can not get a hold of a real person. I am starting to think this company is a fraud. 2 months have gone by. I want a refund of my money so I can purchase the services of a more reputable company.

I can't get ahold of anybody. Where is the smilelove customer service? I'm trying to cancel and get a refund. I'm paying for a service I haven't even used.
I would love to give these scam artists 0 stars for the TERRIBLE service that they offer. Paid them and I couldn't get past the impressions part. They kept telling me to keep trying until I got it right. Only now I know that it was a ploy to get me to pass my 30 day refund policy. Avoid these people at all cost!!!
This company started out promising! Their customer services was great and they seemed to really care. You could set up vid. sessions to do your impressions and they were very accessible. However starting in December/January services started to decline. I ordered my product in October and went through several impressions kits and none would ever pass. Finally I went to my dentist who did them and surprisingly they still FAILED.
SO they finally sent me the reusable putty and they passed. I was told all sorts of lies, that they would expedite my shipment, that when I sent my new impression kits in they would be inspected promptly and I would know. Back in January I disputed the charge with my CC company and they gave me my money back., however I allowed SL to offer me discounts to stay and cancel said dispute. Last week Mitch said I would get my aligners this week. Misssy called me and said they need ME to send them proof that the dispute was cancelled. This is information that the company can easily get as they are the Merchant and I have emails that prove that the got the information they needed.
So far everything has been lies. The production of my aligners were not expedited, they kept lying about when the impression kits made it in the office. Lied and said only one set of impressions passed when they did not. At this point when I do get my aligners I don't know what kind of experience I will have because everyone seems to be reporting bite issues and teeth not tracking correctly. Had I known all of this, I would have paid the extra 500 dollars and went with SDC or Alignerco. I would not go with this company. They started out promising and now customer service is non existent.
I paid in full up front for aligners. Process started well and company was very responsive through text messages. Once I received my preview and could not approve because it was clearly not based on my impressions, everything changed. Tried numerous times to contact the company to address my concerns and then to get a refund. Since 1 February they would not respond to any of my communication (text, email, online contact, and phone calls). Their refund policy states if you are not happy with the preview you get full refund. I can not approve the preview because its not based on my impressions so the product will not work for me.
Per this ticket we are working to help the customer with their preview.

I am rejecting this response because I have no confidence in the company. The original preview was not based on my impressions or photographs. The preview had four extra teeth so the aligners would not have fit my mouth. I tried continuously for over a month to work out concerns about the preview, only to be ignored. It was not until I filed this complaint that the company wants to try and fix the preview. Given the previous issues I do not have confidence they can fix the preview based on my information. If I approve, and they produce the aligners and there is an issue I have no confidence they won’t just ignore me again. The company’s policy states if you are not happy with the preview for any reason you are entitled to a full refund. If I approve and there are issues I will not be entitled to a refund. I just want the company to honor their policy and refund my money. I cannot trust that any other action would not leave me with aligners that don’t work for me and out $1,500.
