Review: We entered into a contract with Smile Inc ([redacted]) December 2011 for a home technology and automation system. Service levels were poor in all aspects, delays in completing initial phases of work, lack of attention to our project, and unreturned phone calls. Additionally, We provided this company $15k to purchase equipment on our behalf of which we have either not received to date or received substitute brands. We have requested our money back and have not received it to date.Desired Settlement: Request reimbursement of funds.

Review: I contracted with SMILE Inc to provide Audio/Video equipment and services for my home and signed a work agreement for approximately $6,200 which also included a security system. Payment was to be made in 4 installments. The house was completed in June and yet the services I contracted for are not completed.I do have a security system but it took two months waiting for cameras that were on back order. One might think that the order could have been placed long in advance knowing that the cameras were a vital part of the system. But this isn't that major complaint I have. The Audio/Video work is malfunctioning and I cannot get the SMILE owner to return my calls and when he does, the appointments are not kept. The equipment is not working properly and every time someone might show up, it is someone new who must spend several hours "trying" to fix the malfunction only to leave and the system is no better off before they arrived. The owner's name is[redacted]. He has never been on site to preview what the problems are. He does not return e mail requests. He rarely returns voice calls I have made to him asking for help.Desired Settlement: If SMILE INC cannot get the system in working order, that should replace the malfunctioning equipment or refund the expense I have paid to them. I did what I was expected and paid them according to the payment agreement. They have not done their part of the contract.
Review: My husband and I signed a sales, installation and service agreement with SMILE Inc. on August 17, 2012 to provide a Home Technology Package for our property in New Orleans. At that time, we paid a $6000 deposit to SMILE. On November 30, 2012, we made a second payment of $12,000. Despite repeated phone calls and emails to SMILE's Territory Manager, [redacted], our equipment, other than a few minor pieces, has not been received and installed. We have now paid a total of $18,000 (90% of the total cost). We sent a letter to Mr. [redacted] on September 18, 2013 stating that we would file suit if the equipment was not delivered by October 4 or if we did not receive a refund. He has not responded.Desired Settlement: We want SMILE Inc. to either fulfill the contract or provide a refund by October 31, 2013.
