Review: I have an unused $300 Zagat Dining Card that expires in 12/2018. The program is operated by Smart Box. The program has been discontinued and Smart Box has an online form for issuing refunds. I made a request for a refund in January 2015. I spoke to Clay D[redacted] who advised he would process the refund but this would take a few months.
After some time had elapsed and having heard nothing, I found an email from Mr. D[redacted] in my Junk Mail that had been received on 3/**/15. Mr. D[redacted] had advised the refund related to this card had already been made to someone else, for $100. Either they looked up the wrong card (i.e., $100 is not $300) or this has been a fraudulent refund.
As the refund program is still open, and the card does not expire until 2018, I tried to call the company on ###-###-#### to dispute this advice in September 2015 however the phone number has since been disconnected. I sent an email to Mr. D[redacted] and also the general contact point on the website ("[redacted]") and have heard no reply.Desired Settlement: I would like to have a refund for the balance of the card, $300.
