I purchased a new computer from *** several months agoAt the time of purchase, I also purchased Windows Got the item home, inboxed it loaded the software and boom, infectedI called the number on the card and ultimately got to this Softtweak company$ + later, the new computer was fixedOver the months they have called me to tell me about certain dangers to my computerThey call my work, they call my cell phone over and over and over aginThey do not leave messagesThey call ultra early in the morning late in the evening over and over, back to back calls, utterly abusive telephone practicesThis morning reached a culmination after multiple calls yesterday and minutes this morning of back to back to back calls, and I called them to cancel my serviceApparently there a cancellation fee of $I disputed his and I was told this was the only thing that I could do to stop the callsI strongly object to these strong armed tactics and wish them to cease and desistPlease adviseThank you*** ***

Review: I purchased the software, "UpdateMyDrivers" on Nov. [redacted]. The price was listed as $ 29.95. The software is described as: "As easy as 1 2 3." This is far from the truth. I am a self-taught computer user [redacted]) so my abilities are somewhat limited. Because I received a message that the drivers need to be updated, I searched for a software provider and found SmartTweak. After buying the software, I had to download 13 files after which I would have had to install the 38 drivers myself (plus uninstall the old ones). I tried to do it, but it was simply too complicated. My system was compromised as a result (kept crashing), so I uninstalled the software and had my system restored to its state before I bought the software. Nevertheless, it is not working well, so I ended up buying a new laptop. I have contacted SmartTweak, explained what happened and requested a refund. My subscription to UpdateMyDrivers was cancelled, but was told, in reference to my explanation of my problems,

"?In this case, there is no reason for refund. Please read our refund policy carefully."

I read the policy, and all it says is that if a driver cannot be provided one may receive a refund. I wrote that I was not at all pleased with this answer, and have had no response since. I also noticed today that the price for this software has gone down to $ 9.95!

By the way, I have given my US address and my sister's telephone number (she is fully aware of the situation and suggested I contact you), although I am an American citizen living in Austria (the amount charged to my credit card is Euro 28.32).

I truly appreciate any help you can give me with this issue! Thank you very much!Desired Settlement: I think that the product description should not make it sound so simple, because it is NOT! Also, customer comments should not be ignored.

Your answer is non-responsive. You just summarily dismissed my request. You did not read my complaint, so I will state it more simply.

My original complaint lines are labeled with numbers. My replies are indicated with R)

R) You claim no virus...are you saying Norton was wrong...???

R) It did come with malicious software Norton was flashing and said it contained malware.

R) Thru "add/remove in control Panel) I removed all software in your package.

2) Now, my registry is messed up and I have to reinstall windows.

R) WHY DO I HAVE TO REINSTALL WINDOWS?

R) Your product will not install telling me it can't access my registry

R) Other programs can no longer access my registry.

R) I cannot "RESTORE" to an earlier date.

3) I request you return my money, and take me off the monthly contribution fee.

R) You falsely claim your software contained no malicious software in your install packagES. YOU DO NOT ADDRESS WHY YOU THINK NORTON WAS WRONG. YOU DID NOT READ MY EXPLAINATION STATED IN MY COMPLAINT.

R) YES, MALEWARE WAS IN THE PACKAGES YOU SENT ME.

4) You did not take me off your automated monthly charges as requested.

R) WHY?

5) I cannot install your product (it cant access the registry).

R) I did go to your website and directly downloaded your software. It will not install: your software error message states that it cannot access registry.

6) Please refund my money.

7) Please take me off the automated monthly charge.

Further note: I never got your software installed, I contacted you immediately (the day after I attempted to install it), so you cannot claim I have been using without paying.

Why don't you do the right thing and put this in order.

I do hope that you will address all of my complaint, not just shoot me a blanket reply with a blanket answer.Desired Settlement: 1) Credit my paypal account or $9.95.

2) Notify PayPal to take me off the monthly subscription charge.
