Review: On 8/8/15 I took my child to smart styles salon in [redacted], to get her hair cut for school and we have never had any issues with lice or anything and after I took her up there she now has Lice in her head... I think that I deserve a refund and that they need to pay for the treatment of her head!!!!I called up there to let them know I was upset over the sittuation and the only thing the girl could say was that she was sorry and there was nothing else they can do. The treatment for lice is about $25.00 and her hair is long and I also have two more children and I have to treat my house to keep it from spreading... I know that cosmotologist are trained to know what lice and other issues look like so they had to of failed at their job in cleaning the brushes that was used on my childs head...Desired Settlement: I want Smart Styles to refund my money and I think they should have to pay for all the treatments for my child and my house to get rid of the lice that she got while there.

Although dissatisfied guests are rare, we research every issue to understand what happened. We have conducted a thorough investigation into the events of Ms. [redacted] daughter's visit. Ms. [redacted] daughter received a haircut on August 8, 2015. The salon was notified of this complaint on August 12, 2015. Based on the date of service and the stages of lice infestation, it is not possible for Ms. [redacted] daughter to have gotten lice from our salon. According to the CDC, ¡t takes up to 10 days for lice eggs to hatch and up to 4-6 weeks for itching symptoms to appear.While we understand her desire for a refund and additional compensation for lice treatments, we will not grant Ms. [redacted] request.Thank you for your assistance in resolving this complaint.
