Mr*** completed a finance application at the storeAt the bottom of the front page of the application, it stated, "PLEASE READ THE ATTACHED GE CAPITAL RETAIL BANK CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT AGREEMENT BEFORE SIGNING THIS APPLICATION." The Credit Card Account Agreement is detailed information including a very easy-to-understand description of Mr***'s finance plan in the "How Special Promotional Offers Work" sectionIt also reassures the applicant that "there will be information on your billing statement about how long it will take to pay off your account if you only make the minimum payments" and "pay your promotional balance in full before the end of the promotional period to avoid interest." Mr*** was provided his Credit Card Account Agreement at the store and an additional copy of the Credit Card Account Agreement was mailed to him with his first billing statementEvery monthly billing statement Mr*** received outlined a Promotional Purchase Summary that included his Promotional Expiration Date
Mr*** also signed his Customer Order Agreement, which included the Terms and Conditions of Sale, when he made his purchaseMr***'s Terms and Conditions of Sale outlined his chosen finance plan

The promotion at the time of Mr***'s purchase was the "Ultimate Sleep Number Week" which ran from November - December 2, The Specialty Bed offer was the Innovation series Limited Edition (iLE) bed set with:
percent off PLUS "18-Month Deferred Interest, Minimum Payments" OR
"36-month No Interest, Equal Payments" with NO cash savings
Mr*** chose the percent off PLUS "18-Month Deferred Interest, Minimum Payments" financing plan and saved $2,on his bed set purchase
If Mr*** had chosen the "36-month No Interest, Equal Payments" with NO cash savings, his bed set would have been priced at $5,and he would have had months divided into equal payments, to pay off his bed set
It is very likely that Mr*** was given information on both of these financing plans and he made his choice based on the 50% cash savingsMr*** was provided his Credit Card Account Agreement at the time of purchase, in his first billing statement and thereafter in every monthly billing statementI am sorry to point it out, but simple math could have enlightened Mr*** on the fact that paying only the minimum payment would not add up to pay off his promotional purchase balance in full by the end of the promotional period

Please note that our Exchange and Return Policy and Limited Warranty are available on our web site, the Terms and Conditions of Sale are displayed in our stores at each cash register, and the return policy is printed on all printed sales literature advertising the respective productsAll policies, the terms and conditions of sale and the limited warranty are available to anyone interested and we invite all prospective customers to read them, ask questions and understand them before making a purchaseMs***'s 25-Year Limited Warranty is also published in the Owners' Manual she received with her bed purchase
On August 8, 2015, Ms*** emailed us regarding her comfort issueThe cis the only model we manufacture that does not have a foam topper pad in the design, making it the most firm mattress we sellSome customers choose to purchase the cspecifically for this reason
It should also be noted that Ms*** did not buy a Sleep Number Foundation/Base at the time of her purchaseIt is recommended that if a customer uses a box spring to rest their Sleep Number Mattress on, that they cover the box spring with a 5/8" piece of plywood to provide a flat, solid surface for the mattress to rest onIf a Sleep Number Mattress rests on a pliable, flexible surface, it will greatly lessen the life of the mattress as well as affect the feeling of the mattressHopefully, Ms*** has her Sleep Number mattress on a flat, solid surface

I have no argument with a firm mattressBut when the sharp edges, like the edges of a knife, of the air chambers dig into your back that's not called firm, but painfulI'm lightweight so this shouldn't happen if everything else is alright
When I said I'd settle for a foam topper I meant topper as the word implies -- something that is placed on top of something elseI didn't ask for a foam layer to be placed within the zippered area, but a layer to be placed on top of the mattressThis cmattress rests on your base bought from a party other than your siteI've adhered to all of your published suggestions
Maybe the way I received this has something to do with this problemIt arrived rolled into an irregular wad wrapped in plastic covered with a lot of tapeI thought this oddIt looked like something that had been returned and was being passed on to the next unknowing customerIt also came with an ink mark on the mattress
At your store in Crabtree Valley Mall, Raleigh, NC, where I looked at the mattress before I purchased it online, the sales person told me that if it was uncomfortable you would furnish a foam pad if I requested oneI know of two other parties who had the same problem, and you sent them no charge toppersThey are both in their thirtiesAs I said in my initial complaint, I believe there's age discrimination here
If you don't wish to send a no charge topper, I'll turn this over to my attorney

What we call a "topper pad" is a foam pad that rests on top of the air chambers INSIDE of the mattress shellThe cdoes not have a foam topper pad in the design, making it the most firm mattress we sellWe are glad to hear that Ms*** does use a Sleep Number Foundation/Base as her mattress needs to be on a flat, solid surface
There is no warranty issue here; there is no defect in materials or workmanshipWe're sorry that Ms*** is finding her mattress uncomfortable, but her cmattress is NOT designed to have a topper pad inside the mattress and if attempted, it would likely over-stuff the mattress shell and break the zipper
Again, we recommend that Ms*** purchase a foam LAYER to be placed on top of her mattress to add cushion and we believe that a CoolFit Foam Layer would work well for herWe are willing to pay the shipping cost and provide a one-time 50% discount on one (1) King CoolFit Foam Layer if Ms*** decides to purchase it within the next days from today's date, expiring on October 9, at 5:PM Central Daylight Time

This was faxed to the number she provided us. As previously stated, all future conversations around the refund need to be taken up with the financial institution directly. Again, Ms*** can contact the Credit Bureau or the Banking Regulator in her state for information on how to recover her money from the institution that accepted the funds Best regards, Customer Advocacy Escalation Consultant
