Dear Guest and Future Guests: We apologize for your recent unpleasant checkout experienceOur facility has recently adjusted its tax collectionsWhile we used to impose our tourism collection as a 7.5% occupancy tax, our local government has elected to dissolve the tax and support a flat rate
fee of $instead; while mathematically this does not produce a significant adjustment to the total cost of the stay, this has required additional training of our staff in order to best educate our guests on the changeWhile our desk attendant did try to communicate this to you, we understand it could have been done in a more appropriate and more detailed manner. Upon making reservations and checking in guests are provided with the room rate and an estimated total cost that includes taxesAt this time, the estimated total does not include this fee you are referencing as our Franchise works out the best way to itemize or label this fee to communicate it to our guests.
