Review: We had a new pool liner installed by Skyview. There is a lot of erosion in the liner and there two places where the liner bead is not seated. The owner who has been in the business all his life, says "why didn't I tell him there was a water problem". What does he think caused the erosion, moles. He did try a second time to install the liner but with the same careless procedure and even installed over water. The crew said the pool water would push the ground water out. Well it did not and we have a terrible looking liner. This is their business and they should have told me what was required for a good install. I did accept the second install because I was so disgusted.Desired Settlement: I would like the liner installed properly.

The erosion in question is not the pool liner it is the sand base under it. There is ground water continuously running which causes the sand to shift and move the liner with it. There is no way to keep the sand in place with water steadily running into it.

We removed the liner and refinished the sand a second time. I asked the homeowner to stop filling the pool if he saw any problems. He said it was Ok and he continued to fill the pool. We reimbursed for the water and sewage cost to the homeowner.

The underground water problem needs to be corrected or the sand bottom will continue to shift. Our contract was to install a new pool liner and provide new face plates and gaskets which we have done.

I was not aware of the liner being out of the track in two places. The homeowner can call us to schedule a repair at no cost.
