Tried to charge a setup fee for a renewal. Took my business to Medjet Assist. If they are that cheap I can only imagine how they would settle a claim...

I was traveling with my husband in our RV when I was hit by pulmonary embolisms in [redacted] and hospitalized. When it came time to be dismissed the doctor informed my husband that the 2000 mile journey home must be accomplished stopping every hour for exercise but even then it would be dangerous for me. It would be better to go home by air. We had Skymed and called the number. They send us the doctors order and we will handle it from here. They would fly us both home commercial and bring our RV and pet home by commercial driver. My husband, not realizing how serious my illness was at the time, said he wanted to drive his own rig home since it was brand new and the tow vehicle was not sufficient for the mountains. They said "OK but we aren't comfortable with you doing that. We will fly a friend to travel with you bringing the rig home and will fly someone out to travel with your wife by air." They made all the arrangements and I flew home. Not only did they bring a friend out to travel with my husband, they paid his expenses to bring his own trailer home. They said they had previous experience with spouses being distracted when driving home and wrecking their rigs. Had I not stayed in the hospital six days to stablize, they would have flown me home by air ambulance.
