The card was sold by the previous owner but the current owner could pull up the card and see that there was a $96.00 balance. I called the card issuer, [redacted], and [redacted] stated that since it was the same name, address, and phone number as the old salon, she could walk the new owner through how to transfer the money onto a new gift car that would cost the new owner nothing, since clearly there is money on this card left.  It is like buying a gift card at Kroger for JC Penneys-you give the money to Kroger but there is money on the card to use at Penneys. I tried to have the new owner see this but she refused to even try. Then she started talking about how the old owner had not paid the taxes so they were stuck with them, as though there was bad feelings between the old and new owners. I love this salon and have always gotten excellent service. I just want to find a way to use the balance of my gift card.
