Purchased Suspension Lift kit (lifetime warrantied) on 2/7/18. Springs sagged over 3" with less than 6k mile on it! Reviews show it's a common issue
Purchased a Skyjacker JK40BPNSR 4" Suspension Lift kit for a 2017 Jeep Wwrangler on 2/7/18 from Newegg.com. The Jeep is driven only 6 months of the year (April-Sept) and has less then 6k miles on this suspension lift kit. My husband is permently disabled so the Jeep is barely driven, it's never seen snow or salt, and is not driven hard or taken offroad! In less then 6k miles on the lift kit, it has sagged over 3"!! After looking at thousands of reviews online, this is a VERY common complaint and KNOWN issue with this compnaies lift kits and coils!! I'd be more than happy to supply the reviews! I contacted Skyjacker (which the lifetime warranty states to do) and was told I had to conact the company I bought it from and that I'd have to PURCHASE coils (almost $400!!!!) to put in my Jeep, ship the DEFECTIVE coils back and wait for them to test them to get my money back). Not to mention, you want me to pay to put the SAME coils BACK in my Jeep that are known to have issues and are just going to do the same thing again 6 months down the road?? This is a joke considering a PROFESSIONAL mechanic stated the coils are defective and I have pictures from the day of intstall showing the coils and pics NOW and you can clearly see the there's a serious issue with lift kit!! Theres THOUSANDS of reviews from people having the SAME exact issue with the SAME exact products!! I then contacted the website I purchased it from (Newegg.com) and was told I I had to call the person it shipped from (Nutrend.com). I then contacted Nutrend.com and they said it has to be handled through warranty through Skyjacker and they would try and contact Skyjacker to see what Skyjacker will do. At this point, I'm tired of making phone calls and being bounced around and told "No you have to call this person". Skyjacker makes the product and it's THEIR product that is defective. Period. It's their warranty and their issue. Stand behind you rproduct and take care of your customers!
I don't even want the same product put back in my Jeep at this point because clearly it's a known issue with these lift kits based on the numerous bad reviews online. It's just going to happen again and I'll be back in the same boat so it's completely pointless. I want a refund for the value of the springs only which is $366.96

Dear Mrs ***,
I can help you with your claim. Skyjacker is a 46 year old, 3rd generation family owned and operated company. I can promised you we have not survived through these years by selling thousands of products with known defective components. We use what we sell personally and on our children's vehicles as well, so we trust what we sell. Please forward me a copy of your purchase invoice, the name and contact information of the professional mechanic or shop, as well as the pictures that you have. Also need to know the weight of the jeep because added weight changes the amount of lifts. We have literally sold thousands of these JK lift kits and my son personally still drives his everyday. I will help get this matter resolved for you personally.

)I do not accept the response because it offers no resolution yet. Once a resolution is met and the issue has been resolved, then I will accept.) I will need your direct contact information to forward all of the information requested to you. As far as the weight of the Jeep, I have no way to get that. The Jeep was purchased by us brand new in August of 2017. The stock spare tire and stock steel running/ nerf bars were removed. The factory hard top was replaced with a soft top. Again, the Jeep is ONLY drived April through Sept as is driven VERY MINIMALLY because he does not work. Because it is driven in the warm months only, the doors are off. Therefore I can assure you it's NOT a weight issue, because the Jeep if anything weighs less, not more than it did from the factory. I have another 2017 which is MY daily driver that was purchased in June of 2017 that DOES have numerous weight added to it and I'm running a ProComp lift on it and the lift kit is also much older and mine has zero sag....Once I receive your direct contact information, I will forward everything to you.
Sorry my last correspondence was not acceptable. I am attempting to help. Resolution: Skyjacker will replace any defective product to the original purchaser. We just need to determine the coils are defective. Most common method of warranty is to return defective product for replacement. I am trying to help avoid that for you. If it were not for Covid-19 I would ask for you to take the Jeep to a shop that is a Skyjacker authorized installer. Let's try this, to determine if 4 coil springs are defective, how about you supply measurement inside each coil spring from the axle tube to the lip of metal bump stop cups. Take picture of those measurements at the same time (you can forward those later for verification). As part of warranty process I will need original proof of purchase. it is always an option since the Jeep is hardly driven that you can have the coils removed, return to us for testing and quick replacement. Hopefully this answers your concerns with certainty that Skyjacker will replace the springs.

Yes the vehicle isn't driven a lot but he still needs his vehicle and cannot be without one all together. he drives to therapy 4 times week so having his vehicle tied up is not an option. Once again, I will need your contact information to forward pictures the original receipt to you as well as ther statement from the mechanic. There is nowhere on here to upload them. You still haven't supplied me with that information to get the requested documents over to you. I have everything you requested but nowhere to send them to....
I measured what you asked - the measurements you asked for don't make sense because there's a retainer on top on the axle tube INSIDE of the spring - so are you looking for the dimension inside the spring from the top on the axle retainer (which is what the spring sits on) to the lip of metal bump stop cups? Otherwise, you'd have to measure the outside of the springs if you want the axle tube. Please clarify which dimension you're seeking. Thank you!
Love my shocks.
