Review: On 8/28 I went for a jump, my friend and I had placed a reservation on 8/27. However, when we arrived the gentleman at the front desk was unable to find the reservations but stated 'it's a great day, not busy he could get us in that day'. He did have our CC information on file but for some reason didn't have in the system. My friend was pretty certain and did the jump. I was not sure. He stated I would lose my deposit even though he didn't have us in the system. The instructor and the gentleman at the front desk continued to pressure me to do it. I said well I've just lost $50 then I'll lose even more money. The instructor and the gentleman at the front desk stated 'at that point we will not let you chicken out'. I ended up paying $273.52.When we reached the plane, I didn't want to get on. But the instructor said 'no come, just come' When I got on the plane, I told them I want to get off, they said the pilot was just warming up the plane, giving me more time to think about it. He was initially warming up the plane, I repeated several times I want to get off but the pilot took off anyway.Desired Settlement: I realize this business has a no refund policy. However in this instance I should get a partial refund. If a consumer is to be held to their end of the bargain I.e. Making a reservation, paying deposit; the business should also be held accountable I.e. That is there was no reservation when we arrived so theoretically my spot was not held, leaving it open to someone else. Additionally with such a rigid refund policy they should not pressure people instead allow them to make a decision that is entirely their own. I had not yet completed signing the contract and Jarred said to me 'you are already in you have to do this'.
Review: My daughters (along with two friends) provided a $200 deposit to set an appointment to skydive. My daughters were called today and told there was a problem with the plane and, as such, their appointment had to be rescheduled. "Skydive Pismo Beach" representative was informed that three of the people were from out of town and would not be available to reschedule. We were then told the deposit would not be refunded but would only be applied to 4 jumps in the future. Again, "[redacted]" was informed that would be impossible, but again we were told no refunds. It should be noted that their own website states "We require a $50 non-refundable deposit per tandem jumper to reserve your appointment. It will be applied to the total cost of your skydive on the day scheduled when you pay the remainder. If for any reason YOU are unable to complete your skydive, the $50 is still non-refundable, as it secures your place on our schedule."It makes no mention anywhere on their website, nor was it mentioned when the deposit was made, that it is also not refundable even if the problem is on their end.We are challenging the charge with our credit card company. But be weary of a business that has such a practice.Desired Settlement: Full refund of $200 deposit
