Review: I booked 2 nonstop bus tickets for myself and my daughter to travel from Cincinnati to New York. We were scheduled to leave at 8:45pm on July [redacted]. We arrived at 8:10pm and checked in as instructed. I confirmed where to wait. At 8:45pm, I asked when we could expect the bus to arrive. The gentleman very rudely stated that we were switched to 9:30pm. No one mentioned this to us prior to this moment but we decided to be flexible and wait another 45 minutes. Once the bus arrived, it was nothing like the bus they showed on-line but again, I decided that we could weather it for 24 hours so I could get my child to NY as promised. The driver got on the bus and didn't utter a single word. He just got in and started driving. Once we were en route, I noticed that there were no outlets. Again, I decided not to use my phone to save the battery and use my tablet instead to pass the time. Then, the wifi didn't work. I thought I would just read a book. The lights didn't work. So here I am with my child in the dark and with nothing to do. Ok, we will just sleep. It got increasingly warmer and it was obvious that the AC was not working so now we are on a bus with no electrical connection, no wifi, no lights and no AC and an awful smell from the bathroom. I knew I had made a mistake by booking Skyhorse through [redacted] but I didn't want to let my child down so we pressed on. It was getting hotter by the moment and the odor was getting worse and worse. I started feeling very ill. I know it the heat but also the conditions and feeling like we were in a bad situation. Then the icing on the cake. The driver pulls off into a plaza in Dayton (an hour north). He doesn't say anything but gets out of the bus and is chatting with some friends in the parking lot. I felt very unsafe. This was supposed to be a nonstop trip. I turned to my child and told her that we had to get off. Everything promised had fallen through and who knows many more unscheduled stops we were going to make and for what reason.Desired Settlement: I expect a full refund for the $240 that I paid. That is completely reasonable. We had to get a ride back to Cincinnati and pay for last minute flights to get to New York. We had well over $1400 in documented expenses as a direct result of these issues. I kindly yet firmly requested a refund from [redacted] via email and they refused stating that we should not have gotten on the bus. All the issues but one occured en route. That wasn't a reasonable reply.

Review: [redacted] November ** I purchased two online tickets , [redacted] to [redacted] for the [redacted] bus. My mom and I got to the station around [redacted] to register , bus park in front of the building by [redacted] we board the bus around [redacted] we placed pur luggage in the compartment , I go to the bathroom and on my way back I noticed that my luggage was missing but my mom still there , I ask the driver and other staff member for my luggage and he replay back to me that is there to get in the bus. I believe what they told me since I saw my mom's luggage , we got to [redacted], for the first stop and my luggage was missing , I told the driver why me made got on the bus if he knew since we were in [redacted] that my bag was missing he reply back to me to call the office at 11:00 am . I m 21 weeks pregnant and I travel 12 hours and no one is giving and explanation of what happen to my luggage . I got into another bus back to [redacted] for 14 hours to go back to the place for an explanation , no one help me no manager name was given to me or the police. We saw the surveillance camera and we se clearing when the driver took my luggage out othe bus to put a bench inside the compartment after that I lugagage was no where to be found .Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for all my belongings I hve all my clothes and shoes in my bag also the bus fare round trip...

Review: I booked a ticket from Dayton, OH to NY. My Ereciept clearly stated the pick up address at 10pm. I was there with my 10 year old son and the Bus never came. Called the number and they called me a liar and to stop calling. They hung up on me. Called back and they turned the phone off. Called back multiple times and no answer. Then another person waiting for the bus called and the company admitted it was their fault and that the driver forgot to stop. They said it was up to us to get to columbus, oh and that they would only hold the bus till 1am.Dayton, OH to Columbus is and hour and 20min drive They continued to fight with us about that its not up to them to get us to columbus. We were all at the bus stop on time and waiting. We all paid for our tickets. How is it that when their company messed up we would have to pay? How are you going to forget to pickup customers and especially with small children late at night in the middle of a parking lot? Me and my son were scared. I do not think we had to go through that. If it was anything but that they forgot to pick us up I wouldnt do this. But this issue is their problem. They need to make sure that they do not do this and that they have better customer service.Desired Settlement: I would like my ticket refunded, As what went on was unacceptable for a "professional business".

Review: I took the 9 pm Sky Horse bus from New York to Columbus, Ohio on November **, 2014. I arrived early so that I could get a better seat on the bus. Before boarding, I was the first passenger to store luggage (a large, black rolling suitcase containing about two weeks worth of clothes as well as bed sheets and a pair of shoes) underneath the bus. When we arrived in Ohio at 6 am on Thanksgiving, the bag was gone. I was one of the first people off of the bus and was there from the moment the bus driver opened the luggage compartment. I saw the bags that each person took off the bus and no one else had it. I searched the compartment thoroughly and determined it was not there. During the night, we made two stops: one at a rest area (I believe in Pennsylvania) and another at a motel around 3 am so that they could switch drivers. I'm not sure if the first driver took it by mistake during that stop or if someone managed to get it out at the rest stop or even took it off the bus before we left NYC. Regardless, my belongings were gone and I was stuck out of town with no clothes on a holiday weekend.When we realized my bag was gone, the driver gave me a card with two phone numbers (###-###-#### & ###-###-####) which I called several times that weekend to see if they had any information about my bag. The people at both numbers (two company cell phones, apparently) were very unhelpful and eventually became very rude and even began shouting at me. No one at the company seems to have any information about who their boss was or how I can get in contact with him/her (at one point I was given the name [redacted], but that has led me nowhere). The company doesn't have an email address, although one of the women I spoke with gave me one that didn't work, presumably just to get me off the phone until her shift was over. I've been into the office once since returning to the city and was given no help and treated very rudely in front of several other customers. Needless to say, I am very displeased with their service.Desired Settlement: At the very least I would like the $60 bus ticket refunded, however I would prefer to be given compensation for my missing luggage. My family and I have already begun replacing the items and we've estimated it will cost about $500. I am aware that the company has a lost luggage policy, but I feel that I have been treated very poorly by the company and still deserve some sort of compensation.

Review: This is a business representing themselves as a bus line service running between Ohio and New York City. Anyone who has ridden, recognizes very quickly that something "not quite right" possibly illegal is going. There are random stops during the night to let off or pick up individuals in strange parking lot areas. The [redacted] are all of [redacted] descent and claim not to speak English when customers dare to question what is going on. On the route from NYC to Columbus OH, the bus makes a stop at a parking lot near the La Familigia Restautant on Livingston Ave, just outside of Columbus downtown, in the pre-dawn hours. A van pulls up next to the bus and large parcels of cargo are unloaded from the bus and into the van. No one is allowed to exit the bus and passengers are not told what is happening. Upon arrival in Columbus, my suitcase is not in the cargo hold, and the driver of the bus will not speak to me. Other passengers were trying to assist me and the driver yells at them to get back on the bus. I have since tried to contact their "Customer service" phone number. The individual answering the phone- hangs up when I inquire about my luggage. This company has a clear disclaimer about their lack of responsibility for lost baggage, however they will not allow passengers to keep their bags with them, and make numerous random stops during the night always dropping off or picking up [redacted] individuals. I feel this bus business is a "cover" for actual illegal merchandise being transported from the west coast (China) to NYC's Canal St shops. If Sky Horse Inc refuses to guarantee the security of their passenger's luggage, then their numerous sketchy and random stops during the night should be discontinued.Desired Settlement: I would ask that this business replace the cost of my suitcase, clothing, shoes, makeup, toiletries, and gifts for my family I had wrapped and placed inside my suitcase. I was the first passenger in NYC to place my suitcase inside the bus' cargo hold in the very back. I was one of the first couple of passengers off the bus in Columbus OH and my bag was gone. Other passengers attempting to help me were physically pushed back into the bus.
