In response to complaint dated 11/7/we offer the followingcomments:On the morning of November ih we received a call from thetown of Herkimer to tow a vehicle that they was illegally parked. We went with our wrecker and dolly-wheel lifted the car back toour shopThe customer states that we used a
wrecker, but thatwas impossible as out flat-bed was involved in an accident on theNYS Thruway on the 28th of October and was rendered unusable,if they proof of this is needed our local State Police may becontacted or any news stations from our areaThe customerswere not charged out of kindness of our hearts because they saidthat they didn't have any money and live in the projectsThere isno way possible that we destroyed the car with putting it on thedolly wheelWe are sorry that they customer had problems but itwas nothing we causedIf more information is needed we canprovide phone numbers and people that had us preform thisservice.Thank youMelanie K***
To Whom It May Concern; This is in response to Mr*** *** complaint regarding the service we provided to him on June 14, There are many issues to his complaint that are falseWe treated him with the highest of service and respect from the moment we were called by
the New York State Thruway Authority. You will see from the attached tow bill and repair order all the details of this eventWe received the call at 7:48pm on Sunday evening and arrived at the breakdown location at 8:00pmWe were told that it was a tire call on a 2008 Dodge van at mile marker eastThis was all the information that we were given by the Thruway at the timeThe tow truck driver that responded to this call has been towing for almost years and is our tow department supervisor. He wou!d have able to tow off the van with the tow truck he had but the customer insisted that the back be picked upThis needed to be done with the other tow truckOur highest goal it to get the customer and their vehicles off the Thruway as fast and as safely as possible. We took the van to our shop as directed by the customerWe would have towed the van to anywhere the customer wanted but being it was a Sunday night, nothing was open and we are the closest shop that can handle this job.We took the customer to the hotel at no additional charge and also him we would call him in the morning with the price that it would be to fix the van's tireMelanie contacted the customer with the price to drill out the broken studs and replaceThis price was Parts were $for studs and nutsWe had to go get these parts being they are not a regular stocked itemWe did not charge him to go get these partsWe estimated that it would take about hours and that is exactly what we charged him even though we spent more time on it than the hoursOur labor rate is $per hourHe agreed with the price over the phone so we began the work on the vanWhen I picked up the customer at the hotel, he told me that he was sure that the shop he just purchased his tires at overtightened the tiresI told him that I would check with the mechanic when we arrived at the shopThe mechanic told me that all the lugs were loose on the entire van and he was very lucky that it didn't cause an accidentI gave the broken studs to the customer and told him what the mechanic told meHe was very appreciative of us taking care of him and his vanWe did not charge him the extra time we had working on the van nor did we charge him to retighten his other tiresEverything was fine until it came to pay the billAt that time he wanted to talk to "someone" about the tow billI told him that it was myself he needed to talk toHe said he didn't feel he should have to pay the entire tow bill because Allstate told he the bill was too highI informed him that Allstate is not allowed on the NYS Thruway but they would reimburse him for the tow bill being that it was on a contracted highway and AAA is the only tow service we are allowed to take on that highwayI also informed him that the rates we charge on the Thruway are also contracted and if and he had a problem with the rates to contact the NYS ThruwayI also informed him that we could have charged him wait time because his insistences on the way we towed the van took a lot longer did not charge him for all the extra time that was wasted on the highwayYou will see on the attached tow bill that the van was towed miles at $for the hofee and $per mileThis is the $charge on the first line of the tow billThe half hour labor of $was for putting the van on wheel dollies as requested by the customerThe $charge was for the other truck that was called at the request of the customerThese rates are clearly printed on the back of every tow bill and he was given this informationThis tow took an hour and minutes rather than the 20-minutes it should haveI informed him that the services he received are what needs to be paidHe started to get upsetHe should be upset at the shop that didn't tighten his lugs tight enough, no usWe bent over backwards trying to help him and accommodate him in how he wanted his van towedIn no possible way did we charge him double as he falsely accused us ofWe work very hard to take care of people and then vehiclesThe true fact is that we didn't charge him for as much as we could haveThe free rides to and from the hotel, going to pick up the lugs and studs he needed for the tire, the wait time on the highway, the extra time to check the other tire and tighten all the other loose tires; these were all done free of chargeThe "extra work which never happened" is Everything he received is what he paid forAs you can see by our records with the Revdex.com, we take very good care of our customers and their vehiclesfor your review of this concerning manner,Cynthia L***Manager

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below

I think
the business owner and or the manager took advantage of my emergency and double
charged me for everythingThe business manager can come up with all the excuse
in the world but the fact remains the same that they charged me $to replace
bolts and nuts which does not take more than minutesThat should say a
lotThey should be ashamed of themselvesI am sure they do this to everybody
who gets stuck over thereWhen I have an emergency I expect help from people
and not get rub by people which I believe it happened in this case. Please do
everything in your power to stop them to do this to anybody else
Thank
you
