Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 9, 2016/07/11) */ Contact Name and Title: [redacted] (president Contact Phone: XXX XXX XXXX Contact Email: [redacted] @hotmail.com The Ashley Furniture living room set Mrs [redacted] purchased is identical to the pieces on the floorI have sold off that set for many years with no complaints on that or the quality of any of the hundreds of sets I have purchased and sold from AshleyThe set is designed to use large pillows that come with it in addition to the attached cushions on the back of all piecesTherefore the back cushions are not overstuffed to allow the extra pillows to sort of "sink" or blend into the attached pillowsThe furniture has a one year warranty from Ashley against defectsThe issues here are not defectsMrs [redacted] apparently did not remove the pillows on my display to see that they are designed to be used with the loose pillows for the complete comfortThey main complaint I received was about the chair with loose pillowsShe complained about the material being loose on the back which again is just like the displays here in the showroomI found out I could send Mrs [redacted] some extra stuffing if she would like to increase the support on any of the pieces more then the way they are soldIn other words to customize the support differently then the display sample here at the storeSomeone at the [redacted] residence may have attempted to put more filling into the chair to customize it but did not do a good job at itBecause according to my service man who went to the [redacted] residence at no charge to help customize the chair the box with the additional filling had been opened and it appeared some was missingAfter Mrs [redacted] called me to let me know that she was and had bad knees and couldn't customize the support to her liking I sent my year old service man to see if he could do the customization for herHe drove the miles round trip at no charge to accommodate herApparently since we have never had a service call with any issues even close to this, my service man could not satisfy Mrs***Next time Mrs [redacted] contacted me I received a request for a full refund on all the piecesShe has since stopped in as I suggested to look at my displays so she could see they are just like what she picked upThe chair may need a service call which I will provide at no charge even though I should not have sent out a free service call to customize the chair to begin with to be different from the way they are sold from Ashley FurnitureI would like to mention at this time that Mrs [redacted] signed our company invoice stating that she received in good condition all the items there are no refunds or exchanges on the items.But I am still willing to try to see what we can do with the chairI have been in business for years and I do not believe there is any record of any complaints about my business that I am aware of
