I am sorry to not have responded yet, but I had to have time to speak with my business partner about this and also the manager who was on duty at the time. We are very sorry that Ms [redacted] had such a difficult time on Sunday afternoon March 20. It is never our intention to cause our...

parents any issues when their children are here skating. We know that parents are sometimes going to leave them and run errands and they should be able to freely come back in to check on them. Keeping that in mind, it is very hard sometimes on a busy afternoon, to remember who has already been in. Our policy is to allow 1 parent in admission free with a paying child. Our space is limited and we have to charge adults coming into the building as we have no way of knowing if they will end up skating or not.  I feel that this was a mistake on the part of our manager who clearly should have just let her in. I believe Ms [redacted] said that she had been coming here for years and this is the first time this has been a problem, so I only wish that she would have contacted me at our business office instead of filing a complaint. We are always happy to resolve an issue. We would like to send a free admission skating pass to her if we could have her address. We hope that she will continue to skate with us as kids are the reason that we are here.

Review: I've been taking my daughter here for years. At times she will ride with a friend and their parent and I will meet them. This has never been an issue until today. When I came to meet them today I was told only one adult admitted with a child. I explained to the woman that my child was in there with another child and their parent. . She did let me in but then I had to run an errand with the other parent. When we came back to let them know the other parent was leaving and I would be returning when they closed to pick them both up and take them home we were told only one could enter. As I do not typically leave my child there without an adult (she's getting older) I explained I wanted to check on and speak to my child as well. She still said only one could enter. I do not appreciate being told I cannot go in to check on my child without having to pay when I am not violating the one adult per child rule. No parent in any situation should be told this and I feel they need to come up with a better policy or procedure if they are going to allow minors to be there without adults. If we're going to be allowed to leave we should be allowed to come back and check on our children's welfare or bring them money for food/drinks... etc. Maybe they should implement a policy of matching children's names to the corresponding adult in case adults do need to step out and come back as many do choose to run errands as the children can be skating for hours.Desired Settlement: Please see above about proposed policy adjustment.
