The builder went over their timeline by 3.5 months on a straight forward smaller home. The builder stopped responding to emails & to our realtor. He refused to come in and do the 1yr inspection even though there were multiple issues that needed addressed. As the homeowner, I had to pay another contractor to fix his work. I also had to pay for the entire house to be repainted within that time frame because he instructed his painters to use paint worse than apartment grade. We also had sub contractors contacting us for payments even though the builder had all payments released on time to him.
