Sireci's Automotive

Review: We live at an apartment complex. In front of our building's parking area is a sign stating that cars without residency tags will be towed at owner's expense. At 1:00am I heard a truck idling outside and looked out the window to see a Sireci's Automotive truck hooking my husband's car up to a tow chain. We ran outside and asked what was going on and were informed that they did not see the residency tag in the window. Upon inspection, we discovered that the tag had fallen from the mirror onto the dash. The car had not yet even been moved from the space when we proved that we had the right to be parked there. The man proceeded to tell us that now that he had hooked it up to his tow truck that the only way he'd release the vehicle was if we handed over $100 cash to him. We told him that this seemed wrong and he said that if we did not produce the cash that he would tow the car to an impound lot and cited that it is a "state law". I ended up driving to an ATM in the middle of the night and bringing him the cash. He gave us a receipt and left the car. We had proven that we were innocent of any wrong-doing and yet were still forced to pay a fine to release our vehicle from their tow truck. He was aggressive and threatening that if we did not pay that he would take our car and be fined further, despite the fact that we had proven our right to the parking space.Desired Settlement: We want this company to pay us back our $100 as we had proven we had the right to be there prior to them even pulling the car from the parking space. It was an enormous hassle and stress and we had the right to be there.
