Review: Siracusa Movers was hired to deliver items from CT to ** that were previously kept in storage in their [redacted] Facility. Upon delivery there were a number of missing and broken items. We contacted the mover and filed a claim at their request. Siracusa denied all responsibility for the missing and broken items regardless of the Insurance coverage we purchased through them. They said they would "look" for the missing items however never responded. The broken items were blamed on the way we packed the items despite using their boxes and materials. The delivery personnel were in such a hurry to get to the next delivery on the other side of the state that they pressure you into signing off on the manifest that all items have been delivered. The front office however said we had a certain amount of months to file a claim, so we did. Then, the missing item claim was denied because they said we signed off on the delivery manifest, which you have no choice in doing at the time of delivery. The next suggestion was that we could go to arbitration run by them which you have to pay for. So if the charge is more than your claim, you might as well let them keep your stuff which has been taken or misplaced with no hope of getting back. This is a catch-22 situation, a conflict of interest, and bad business. Basically, your items can be taken and you have no recourse. I am sure they will dispute my version. I should have refused to sign the manifest at the time of delivery.Desired Settlement: Reimbursed for missing and broken items.
