To state up front my partner is also a Certified ASE Technician so he's completely familiar with cars and what is being done. However his health prevents him from working on our cars as he'd like which is the reason for sending them to the shop. We NEVER expected the following situations to occur.
We took our 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a V8 engine to Sincere in late Feb 2014 when our Power Steering pump failed. They replaced the pump which we've had nothing but trouble with since. Today 10/6/2015 my partner looked up the #'s from that pump as it's failed and discovered the part installed was for a 6 Cylinder Engine NOT a V8. There is of course nothing we can do since of course it's past the "warranty" even though the part we paid for not the correct part for our car. Lesson learned all I can do is warn others.
When our Jeep left our home on the towtruck it had a black Die Hard battery but when we got it back the battery in it was an old orange dead and scratched up one. This battery was of an amperage for a car not a Jeep which is the reason it wouldn't hold a charge and was constantly dying every time the car was turned off and also why it had to be jumped at the shop when we picked the jeep up. The fact it was constantly dying was known to Ron within the 1st week when we took the car back to get more power steering fluid but he blew it off. We didn't discover the switch for a couple months as we were forced to pull the Jeep off the road to fix something else immediately after picking it up and we kept second guessing that it was in fact a different battery as we never thought Ron would steel from us. Why would he do that?
While the Jeep was in the shops custody the radiator fan mysteriously stopped working. No indication of any issue previous to this. Ron quoted a price of 1,300 for the part alone to fix, labor not included, to which I said declined, we'd fix it ourselves. I reminded Ron of my partners certification as an ASE Technician he got a deer in headlight look "Oh shoot" but didn't say anything. I found the part on Ebay, used for $210 and we replaced it ourselves it just took us a little while. Reason is there are 2 bolts that every Jeep person can tell you about that are a pain to remove these bolts alone wouldn't increased labor costs by a mechanic to around 1,000 if performed by a shop.
It's notable there were 4 other Jeeps on the lot at the same time as ours not sure if this was an issue or cause however I will NEVER go back. I highly recommend everybody steer clear of this shop and take your business to someone else.

I won a judgement against this company nine years ago, and I am still waiting for it to be resolvedThe wrong part was used on a repair
