Simply Found A Boutique

We visited Leavenworth Washington in November 2012. In a shop called "Simply Found A Boutique", I saw a sweater that I liked but didn't pursue it after I saw $119 on the tag. I didn't even unfold it. My husband thought he would surprise me with it for a Christmas gift. When I opened it Christmas morning, it turned out to be the oddest style, was mis-shapen, and rode way up in the back. I returned it by mail, and was told that the store doesn't give cash refunds, so they sent me a gift certificate in the right amount for stores in Winthrop, Washington?? Where is Winthrop Washington?? I have never heard of it, and have never had any plans or desire to visit there. I have no plans to go to Leavenworth again either. I live 5 hours away, in Boring Oregon, and have never spent much time in Washington. For a tourist town, Simply Found A Boutique is certainly not a tourist friendly store. Could an exception be made under the circumstances?? I am sure I am not the first shopper to have something like this happen. Please help me in this matter so I can think of Leavenworth as a tourist destination rather than a tourist trap.
