Simplex Grinnell

Review: In 2009, the [redacted], a private research [redacted], was allowed to piggy-back our Security system onto the fire detection employed by the public [redacted] as we share the same building. While a sensor was being replaced, October of 2015, it became apparent that the [redacted] was not receiving Security monitoring. Furthermore, after some investigating, the City of [redacted] had severed its connection with SimmplexGrinnell July 1, 2014. The [redacted] has paid Simplex Grinnell $953.55 for two years of Security monitoring, we did not receive. I have been in contact with the company since November of 2015. I have requested we be reimbursed for the years we did not receive monitoring. I received a check for $490.55, service from February 1, 2015-January 31, 2016., on May 19, 2016. This company is so compartmentalized, I cannot adequately negotiate a resolution as different departments in different states handle different aspects of this difficulty. No one department can address and solve this problem.Desired Settlement: While we paid SimplexGrinnell for the replacement of a sensor at $825.00, it was for a system that was not being monitored. I understand that they did perform the repair and I am not asking for that amount to be refunded. I am asking that the two years we were not monitored for security, $953.55, be refunded.
