We were hoping to resolve our situation through making a complaint to Berryland but now we can't because we have had our motor home almost years nowBUT we HOPE that people will read this review that we are writing about BerrylandSince about weeks after our purchase of our Forest River/Georgetown XL Blk diamond series motor home from themWe have incurred numerous problems and ongoing problems with this RVAt first the service dept was so nice and helpfulBut after we kept having repeating problemsWe contacted the Forest River repThis did not sit well with the service writer of BerrylandStating to my wife, "Did it make you feel any better?"We kept researching the Forest River forum and found out more and more answers to our problems of whys and howsGoing back to Berryland and giving Service there answersThem NOT liking it at allWe live in Lafayette, LASo you can only imagine how much fuel and time and miles spent taking the RV back and forth to BerrylandLeaving it there for repairsThis RV has been in the shop more than outMiles on this unit is only 4,Have had this unit to datealmost years Rough items gone wrong without looking at the list: Toilet replaced twice, Flooded RV once:, A/C unit broke, replaced, flooring replaced, kitchen faucet replaced, lines all flushed many many times because of sludge blocking water lines from hot water tankBerryland telling us its our fault that were not using an outside filter systemIts because they probably let it sit on there lot for yrs and not maintain there motorhomesAnd something that forest river does with there hotwater tanksThe water heater anoid eats up on this RV so fast you have to keep replacing it
There was a recall on the edge of the roof where it was wrinklingSo they had to put metal stuff thereNow we have noticed that the awning is pulling away from it where they installed it over itCalled Berryland service writer a week agoThey won't cover itSaid we will have to and will take over weeks just to get it inThey are the ones who did itSo they should be the ones to repair it free of chargeWe think
The service dept is very quick to blame the customer on there new RVsEver since we got this RVThey do not really want to work with there customers There are way to many complaints on this RV to be blamed for customer neglectThey would rather blame the maker of the RV than them
very poor management and people skills from your manager *** *** also appointment time and date were not adhered to
I purchased a camper on 8/29/and set up a delivery date of 9/1/at 9:00amminutes before my appointment as I pulled into the parking lot I got a call stating that somehow my paper work was lost and the camper would not be ready, ok that's fine I understand everyone is human and makes mistakes, but its how the manager *** *** handled the situationhe approaches me and the first thing he says is "sorry I cant give you any money off for the mistake" well I wasn't asking nor did I want money, I simply wanted the camper I paid for since I needed it to live in due to the floodingAfter I told him I didn't want money he started being sarcastic so I asked him if he could possibly get extra people to do the inspection of the camper to make this right, his reply was a laugh I was very calm until he laughed in my face and this infuriated me so I told him I will be contacting the Revdex.com as well as the owner or his supervisor and his reply was "you can either take the camper or leave it" as he walked away saying something under his breath at this point I had to take it because I would be using it to live in and if I hadn't paid for it already I definitely would've bought one elsewhere I do not recommend buying anything from this place and have also turned friends and family from purchasing here as they were looking for campers as well i'm very dissatisfied with the way this situation was handled as well as the customer service
