There response was "Too bad, so sad. Nothing we can do about it.
I wouldn't trust this company at all!
Terrible customer service! (And I’ve never posted reviews for any other company)
Bottom line: G4 waders leaked within first hour of use and Simms refused to replace. Not worth paying a premium for Simms products due to (1) their own admission of likelihood of damage/leaks and (2) poor customer service. Look elsewhere.
I purchased $700 G4 waders which leaked within the first hour of use. Nathan Ollenberger and her associate Jen from Simms Repairs refused to outright replace my waders since I was technically outside of their 60 day guarantee window (I purchased in the fall in anticipation of next year’s freshwater season). Nathan cited that my leak did not qualify as a material or manufacturing defect -- not sure how that is the case as the primary purpose of waders is to keep one dry…
They did repair the waders under their 1 year coverage policy (after asking me to pay for shipping the waders to Bozeman - I had to push back to get shipping covered), so now I have effectively paid $700 for a refurbished pair of “high end” waders.
I emailed their customer service about a week ago and they did not respond I had attached pictures of sun hats where the dye had run down the front bill giving them an odd appearance It looks like the hats have a defect and washing does not solve it
I bought a duffel bag from SimmsOn the first trip the zipper brokeCalled them and they would not refund my moneyBuyer beware! I only had the bag for a week!
Simms fishing has sent me a pair of G3 Guide pant waders, in no box, dirty, scratched up, marked with black marks, not in any way satisfactory condition. I am filing a law suit with them. They have no quality craftsmanship or workmanship, and not even a box that they should come in. And Simms is trying to blame the customer. I had toe use their custom fit option and my waders I purchased in the fly shop had no marks or scuffs, and not dirty, and they had the matching box. When the waders came back to the drift fly shop in pueblo, colorado, they had no box, and they were just not the same that I purchased. Simms does nothing to correct it. They expect me to accept what ever they decide to send. And I won't accept it, I told Simms, see you in court. Simms either switched them, or sent an old pair that someone else sent back.
Review: I received a pair of G3 Guide Simms waders as a gift from my wife. The waders cost $449 for which she paid cash for at the distributor. Unfortunately the waders are too small and I am requesting a like for like product exchange in a larger size. The waders are brand new, still in the box, still have the tags on them. Simms is refusing to exchange the waders for a larger size. Simms advice was to "try and sell" the waders in exchange for a store credit. Simms was very responsive and returned my call in a timely manner which was satisfying, however I have spent many thousands of dollars at Simms over the years and they are refusing a very basic request. This boils down to customer service, for a multi-million dollar company who claims to embody "business ideals" to refuse a like for like product exchange to a loyal customer is very disappointing.Desired Settlement: I would like to exchange my brand new G3 Guide waders in size LKS for an XL
Would you like to sue simms with me, I already filed complaint with the Montana dept of justice for bait and switch. And sending me something that I didn't choose.
