I would not recommend this person to anyone, we paid him a lot of money and he never finished my island or came back to fix my door and he ran out of money so we had to buy the paint and wood that he was supposed to pay for from the original payment
months of pure hellMike C [redacted] talks a really good game...he sounds like he knows what he is doing - done it for years etc...he also comes across as a very nice guy...easy to talk to...very laid back He may have done some decent work in his past...dunno - but now? Forget itThey started dirt work mid-March - which of course, then the crazy rains set inI allowed for that...and didn't bust their chops I had paid him around $up front....for materials etc...which - after much prodding - the pour happened on June 11, He makes it sound like he has a number of employees, but other than one guy named Billy - everyone else were unskilled sloths...definitely not experienced workers On the day of the pour, they didn't have enough workers, and they ended up leaving numerous pieces of bracing etc...IN the actual pourOn top of that...the floor of this patio was supposed to be exposed aggregate, and they didn't properly grade it, level it, power wash it etc....at the time of the pour or soon after - as should have been done Mike said that it was no big deal and could be done later - which was a lieThen they did some crappy flagstone work....left crooked stairs, and I have a very uneven floor on this thing - that will have either be sanded down and have a skim coat put over it or....God knows what I think that mike knew that it was jacked up from the start, because since the pour - it was like pulling teeth to get them out here I have a string of texts - the entire conversation with him...from the start...and wowThroughout the process, I heard a million excuses as to why they didn't show up when they said they wouldWife had surgery...mother-in-law had surgery...truck broke down...somebody got hurt....on and onProblem is...when you are in as far as we were, you have this "HOPE" that they will finish it, so you hold on too longI finally had enough after not seeing them for weeks...I texted Mike and told him to come get their equipment before I disposed of it THIS time...the excuse was heat-stroke...which...if he did get it - it certainly wasn't at my houseI don't think that he had been here in months Basically - I think that he was pushing me to fire him - because he didn't want to deal with the crap work that had been doneWell - we are done, and looking at options to fix this or whatever I have lots of photos, texts...you name itWorst experience of my life

5 months of pure hell. Mike C[redacted] talks a really good game...he sounds like he knows what he is doing - done it for 30 years etc...he also comes across as a very nice guy...easy to talk to...very laid back. He may have done some decent work in his past...dunno - but now? Forget it. They started dirt work mid-March - which of course, then the crazy rains set in. I allowed for that...and didn't bust their chops. I had paid him around $3000 up front....for materials etc...which - after much prodding - the pour happened on June 11, 2015. He makes it sound like he has a number of employees, but other than one guy named Billy - everyone else were unskilled sloths...definitely not experienced workers. On the day of the pour, they didn't have enough workers, and they ended up leaving numerous pieces of bracing etc...IN the actual pour. On top of that...the floor of this patio was supposed to be exposed aggregate, and they didn't properly grade it, level it, power wash it etc....at the time of the pour or soon after - as should have been done. Mike said that it was no big deal and could be done later - which was a lie. Then they did some crappy flagstone work....left crooked stairs, and I have a very uneven floor on this thing - that will have either be sanded down and have a skim coat put over it or....God knows what. I think that mike knew that it was jacked up from the start, because since the pour - it was like pulling teeth to get them out here. I have a string of texts - the entire conversation with him...from the start...and wow. Throughout the process, I heard a million excuses as to why they didn't show up when they said they would. Wife had surgery...mother-in-law had surgery...truck broke down...somebody got hurt....on and on. Problem is...when you are in as far as we were, you have this "HOPE" that they will finish it, so you hold on too long. I finally had enough after not seeing them for 2 weeks...I texted Mike and told him to come get their equipment before I disposed of it. THIS time...the excuse was heat-stroke...which...if he did get it - it certainly wasn't at my house. I don't think that he had been here in 2 months. Basically - I think that he was pushing me to fire him - because he didn't want to deal with the crap work that had been done. Well - we are done, and looking at options to fix this or whatever. I have lots of photos, texts...you name it. Worst experience of my life.
