The vendor advertised as follows "Free Mystery Gift bag. Up to $100 retail value. All sorts of marvellous and useful items! While supplies last. No Purchase Necessary." The "gift bag" I received was literally full of garbage. The vendor recently moved from a store front to a mobile business. The "gift bag" was full of actual garbage that appeared to be from their old store: display necks for necklaces, display boxes with slots for rings, various cardboard pieces (from displays?), styrofoam blocks, and more such...well...garbage. And yes, it was a free gift but the fact that the bag was filled with literal garbage of no value whatsoever was offensive to me as a customer. The vendor did give me my money back but repeatedly told me that people would pay for and "lots of people would like" what I received in my bag. He continued to state this after I told him what was in the bag. He also stated that some of the bags had a piece of "display jewelry". I have no idea if this was true or not. I was prepared to just walk away with my refund (given in cash and not rung into the till although I paid by **) but after the vendor kept stating that a lot of people would like a bag of garbage like the one he gave me, I told him that it was false advertising and demonstrated a lack of business and possibly moral ethic. He didn't seem to care. In the past this vendor has refused to provide an invoice other than a debit/credit card slip. Although he is required to provide an actual invoice to a customer, he didn't seem to care about that either stating they were too busy to provide one.
