I went to Silver State Forklift on Thursday June 10th 2016 to request a quote for renting a Forklift. "THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT I HAVE EVER HAD" This is the first time that I have ever filed a complaint with Revdex.com. I worked for 22 years as a Customer Support Engineer For **, if I had treated any of my customers the way Silver State Forklift has treated me, I would have been fired. I was greeted with a smile and everyone seamed to care for my business. I gave a description of what I wanted to do with a forklift. I was told that I would need one that would work in the dirt. I was also told that the forklift that I would need was down for repair. So far so good. A quoted price of $45.00 per day for the rental and $90.00 for delivery and pickup was approved by me. At this point I said that I wanted to rent the forklift. [redacted] told me that the forklift part was in and that it should be able to rent on Monday June 13th. [redacted] said that he would call me when it would be ready. I had told him that I would be tied up that week working on the "[redacted] Support, However Monday 20th would be fine. NEVER GOT ANY CALL! I called several times and was told by the girl at the front desk that [redacted] would call.. Through this entire issue I never got one call back,, So I drove by the office and talked directly to [redacted], And again we set up a new date to have the forklift delivered to my house. This time it was set up for Monday the 27th between 8:00 am and 8:30. So I got a person that I was paying by the hour to help. At 8:30 I called to verify that they were coming out. I was told that they were on the way. They are only about 20 min, away. I waited until 10:00 am and called again to ask where they were. I was told that [redacted] would call. Never did.. Waited and called again at 1:00 pm to see what the problem was. Again never got a call. On the last call I told the girl that if they didn't want to rent to me just say so, Please don't keep me waiting. [redacted]Product_Or_Service: Rental of a ForkliftOrder_Number: NAAccount_Number: NADesired SettlementAt some later date I would like to rent a forklift from them. however this time I had to go to another rental company that didn't give me any problems. I would like to know from "Silver State Forklift" if I had said something wrong to get this type of service, If I did I am truly sorry. But if this is how they treat all customers then I truly feel sorry for other customers, and don't know how they stayed in business for 30 years. [redacted] Business Response Silver State Forklift has been in business for over 30 years. We did not obtain this goal by routinely ignoring business. This is the one and only complaint filed against Silver State Forklift. That being said, we are sincerely sorry we dropped the ball on this customer. The time line that he describes is pretty accurate. We were down to one lift to rent, that would meet his specifications, and it was having issues. We ordered and installed the part to discover that the lift needed additional service. We even brought a mechanic in over the weekend to try and resolve the issue. To no avail. This is where we erred and should have called the customer. We certainly don't have anything against customer or his organization. In fact the quoted prices were half of what we usually charge, because of him and his [redacted]. Should customer ever need the same services and we can provide them, we would be happy to rent lift for 1 day and trucking for lift free of charge. Again, we are sincerely sorry for all miscomunications. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)I will accept most of what was said, accept for the fact that the quote for the rental was given long before he knew that I worked with the [redacted] Family Support. That fact had nothing to do with the rental quote. All would have been avoided if only [redacted] had only RETURNED "any" !!!! of my many phone calls and explained what the problem was. It would made for a good Customer Service. And I would have changed my schedule to match his. It would also have saved me money that I paid someone to help with my project. It is amazing what a simple phone call would have done. When I showed up at the office and [redacted] explained that the lift was broken, I always said that I can wait until it is fixed. And [redacted] said he would call me when it was ready, " Again He never Call" My last visit is when he told me that it was fixed and will deliver it on the following Monday. Again if it was still broken,,, A SIMPEL CALL WOULD have been great,, And when I called to find out where it was,,, Telling me the customer that it was on the way. Was a Lie....Why didn't he just say that it was still not broke, so it didn't cost me any money.. !!! [redacted]
