Review: I took my Giant Schnauzer to Silver Spring Animal Wellness Center on 11/23/2012 for a diagnosis of a left hind quarter/leg injury. [redacted] DVM took xray of dog hips/left knee & sacrolumbar. He told me my dog had no hip issue, no knee issue but had a sacrolumbar issue. He suggested a consultation with [redacted] DVM at the practice for chiropractic/accupuncture treatment. I met wit Lisa Kluslow and she did an adjustment on sacrolumbar & recommended 2 visits/week for 4 weeks. She prescribed a supplement(Ligaplex) & an anti inflammatory supplement & said he would improve in 2 weeks. Had I agreed to this procedure it would have been a total waste of money. She recommended only walking my dog for a period of several weeks, which I followed. My dog condition did not improve and this went on for 7 months. I had Clinic forward my dogs xray & records to Veterinary Medical Associates in Greendale WI & set appointment where my dog was diagnosed with anterior cruciate tear. Dog had surgery on 7/3/2013. Surgeon also found that my dog tore his meniscus which was removed.I contacted [redacted] DVM to complain about treatment & misdiagnosis provided by his practice. Needless to say that he denied any wrongdoing & was not open to refunding my $500.00spent for his misdiagnosis. He told me he examined my dogs knee & found no issue with anterior cruciate ligament. He did not do this exam in my presence. The other Vet diagnosed the anterior cruciate issue in 30 seconds. My dog had to be sedated for this exam as the leg is manipulated & causes pain. [redacted] DVM if he did do this exam did not sedate my dog.Needless to say I am not happy with the services provide by Silver Spring Animal Wellness Center & would not recommend their service to anyone.Desired Settlement: Refund of payment for misdiagnosis
