The customer did a survey and drove the boat from Mission Bay to San Diego bay after taking delivery. The boat ran and the customer talked to the mechanic at the time and was satisfied
with the results. They at the time of delivery were not happy with the survey results and we were able to work with the surveyor to repair at his expense some issues. The boat was bought from the old owner as is where is and they accepted the surveys as presented by the surveyors.
The real issue here is her husband, *** ***, worked for us and was let go do to our Work place violence policy and has ever since has been placing allegations that are not true in everyplace possible

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
This matter is between myself and Silver Seas, I am the one that bought the boat. It has nothing to do with my, now husband [redacted].
I was told on delivery that the smoking and rough running engine, only needed an oil change, and filter change to fix the problem. I was told that by [redacted], and [redacted] White. I only recently was able to get all filters replaced When my mechanic started the engines, he knew I had never had a compression test, or the mechanic would have caught the misfiring of my starboard engine.
Again, with the advice of [redacted] I agreed to have the Sellers mechanic perform the test at the time of our Mission Bay test. Their mechanic brought me paperwork, with the results, which were not true, and falsified by the sellers mechanic. I paid him $450...I now know it is a conflict of interest to have the sellers mechanic do anything.
I am not a wealthy woman, and it took me every penny to purchase this boat. I have only been, from the boatyard to the Bay Club. I am getting the work done now, and it's costing $2,500. I don't want this to happen to others when buying their first boat. A brokers job is to help, not take advantage.
Also when a broker delivers your boat, it's fueled, and washed as a courtesy. Mine was filthy and on empty.
Regards,
[redacted]
Review: I went through Silver Seas to purchase my boat, as it was my first time, I needed a broker to help me go through the process. When I went out for the sea test, there had dark smoke and noise coming from one engine. The seller of the boats mechanic was aboard at the time. [redacted] asked the sellers mechanic if he could do a compression test ASAP. He looked surprised to be asked, since he worked for the sellers. [redacted] asked us if I wanted it done, and being I had no idea this was not usual businees, I agreed. The compression test was $400, and it came back clear. I didn't know until 3 months ago it had never been done, and my mechanic asured me if it had, I would have known it needed Upwards of $3000.00 to repair the heads. I have been unable to use my boat to date. A broker is supposed to guard the buyer, and protect my interests, not the sellers. I don't want anyone else lied to and taken by [redacted] or White, anyone in the Silver Seas office, they are dishonest, just to make a sale. I had no recourse on price in the end, and I'm in a boat that doesnt go anywhere.Desired Settlement: I want the $400 returned to me, from Silver Seas Yachts, or [redacted]. He recommened I use the sellers mechanic. Also half the price of repairs, due to being unable to negociate on the final price of the boat. If I had know it needed that much work I would have had it taken from the price, or backed out all together.
