I was completely appalled by the way I was treatedThe wait times and lack of communication were my biggest issues but there are many more
I arrived at the hospital at 10pm on May, 2ndIt took hours until I was given any type of medicine, after asking multiple times to relieve the pain and nausea I was inI finally arrived in my room for the night at 4am on May, 3rd
When I told the doctor ,treating me on May 2nd, that I have an intolerance to gluten he responded with "bull" he actually told me that "someone made up the whole gluten thing" and that its something people are just doing these daysHe looked right at me and literally said "BULL"
I was given *** which can be given every hoursI would push a button that is suppose to call a nurse (and a light comes on outside of my room to show I need a nurse now)when I needed moreSometimes the nurse would come to my door, turn the light off that shows I need assistance and say " I'll be right back" then come back
I have zero respect for most of the staff that we dealt with when my Dad was a patient there My Dad had endless negative issues that arose while there In the end we were told by hospital professionals that nobody should have to go through what our family went through My Dad ultimately passed away after be hospitalized for two months from complications of GB surgery and then going into Septic Shock Administration apologized and told my Mom they would not bill her for the insurance deductible (she would not owe the hospital any money) as if this would make every thing ok Since then the hospital refuses to take any further responsibility and have washed their hands of us like we don't exist They have even blocked me from being able to leave negative reviews on social media It has been almost two years since this event and it seems as though it was just yesterday I urge anyone contemplating whether or not to seek medical attention at Blake Medical Center to please do your homework first I would not recommend them even if they were the only hospital around I feel my Dad would still be living today had we taken him elsewhere And I would hate for anyone else to have to go through what our family has gone through
This Hospital separating bill from big bills for easy processingThen it dose not get the full coverage of payment by the insurance they processed
I was told by Blake Billing department that they split services off from the main bill and they processed them firstThey said for easy billing
At that point it dose not meat my spend downThen when they process the rest of the Big bill then it meats the spend down requirements and then they gets full payment
If you were to look at the service date it is part of a big bill that should have been turned in all at once then they would have been paid by Florida MedicaidWhich I keep giving to them but they would not useSo because they would not bill Florida Medicaid I had to fill out paperwork to have the bill either wrote off or paid by charityBut because they split the bill off they said that it would not be covered under the write off or charity and I would be billed for itIf Blake Medical Center did not split it off from th
