Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Unfortunately, there are several things said by Titan along with claims for their company and accusations towards us Since this took place in San Antonio possibly their right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. The following are the facts of the matter: Titan Remodeling hired the wrong person for the job if he was working for the company and made such a terrible bid There was another representative here as well They both had come to our house, visited with us, were served ice water, and were very cordial to us as were we to them On one of their cars with a symbol of Christianity so we talked a little bit about that as well The truth is extremely important to us This happened at least times We in good faith signed a contract on Thursday, August 24, 2017, for the quoted cost and they asked for us to pay the first 1/of the cost of the project We told them we were having floors installed so it would be good for us for them to begin work in weeks They said that would be perfect for their schedule as well Titan accepted our money readily, knowing the contract information, and a credit was charged to our VISA for $2,on that same day That appeared on our charge card right away Titan should have been made aware of the terms of the contract right then There are fax machines, emails, etcand every business we know of has access to such When Titan realized their mistake, they should have immediately contacted us and gave us the option of either getting a revised bid or to credit our charge account giving us a full refund of the upfront payment Sadly, this is where the falsehood, and accusations begin As you can see in their above response, no such details are given A week later their employee named [redacted] showed up to take the final measurements and took our paint/stain samples So a week later they were here doing that and not a word was said about a bad bid nor did we have that amount returned to our credit card We were aware the contract said the project would take from 4-weeks to be accomplished I didn't contact Titan sooner because during the time they were ordering & getting the doors ready for us we had Hurricane Harvey refugees at our house and we were also having our floors replaced Time flew by and the weeks were here On October 5, (about weeks from the signed contract date, I ( [redacted] s) began to wonder why we had not been contacted in any way to establish the exact date the project would begin in our homeI called [redacted] and then the San Antonio Titan office on Gulfdale I left numerous messages each time on voice mailboxes to both contacts I kept calling 2-times per week leaving messages each timeOn Tuesday, Oct24, 2017, I decided to personally go by the Gufdale officeIt was around lunch time and the doors were locked I decided to wait and then shortly after 1:p.mI saw someone get out of their truck and go to the door I followed It was [redacted] the person who came to do the final measurements He said he remembered our house and he searched all over for the project file on us He couldn't find it He said he remembered that the owner from Nashville got involved and said something about losing money on the project so our money would be returned So you see, with all the searching, phone calls, no one showing up, or answering calls and with no money back to our account we got quite worried as to the integrity of Titan Somehow there was a major disconnect within their company or it was just plain robbing usThe dismissed employee, [redacted] ***, couldn't have run off with the money because we had our statement from USAA saying that Titan had indeed received our money I then called MrLeake, owner, at the Nashville office and left a message for him to call me which he did not doThen we called USAA to put a dispute onto the chargeThey have verified there was no credit from Titan returning our money USAA would also know if they had received a check from Titan for the bank account which to this day they have not Also we contacted the Revdex.com to try to save this from happening to someone elseThen we did file a report with the Bexar County Sheriff's DepartmentSee further details belowHere is where the falsehoods are documented: It is blatantly that Titan communicated with us in any way to let us know they were not going to do the projectIt is blatantly that Titan credited back the $2,to our charge card or gave us our money backIt is blatantly that Titan contacted us in any way from the time of the charge to our credit card.USAA has no record of either a credit to our charge as should have been doneAnother lie as for the investigation On Sat., 10/@ 6:PM I called to file a criminal complaint with the Bexar County Sheriff's office That evening I talked to Deputy [redacted] *** He filed the complaint as Bexar County Sheriff's ofc(BCSO) case # I am rejecting this response because:
Regards,
[redacted]sI accept his response but want to be sure to let people know that they only finally issued a check to us last Friday. Their first response to us had several false claims and accusations. We are very relieved in getting back our money. The whole experience was very threatening and caused us a lot of trouble trying to document things for law officials and the credit card analysts at USAA. it was also very hard to be basically called liars.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I am rejecting this response because:Unfortunately, there are several things said by Titan along with false claims for their company and false accusations towards us. Since this took place in San Antonio possibly their right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. The following are the facts of the matter: Titan Remodeling hired the wrong person for the job if he was working for the company and made such a terrible bid. There was another representative here as well. They both had come to our house, visited with us, were served ice water, and were very cordial to us as were we to them. On one of their cars with a symbol of Christianity so we talked a little bit about that as well. The truth is extremely important to us. This happened at least 3 times. We in good faith signed a contract on Thursday, August 24, 2017, for the quoted cost and they asked for us to pay the first 1/3 of the cost of the project. We told them we were having floors installed so it would be good for us for them to begin work in 2 weeks. They said that would be perfect for their schedule as well. Titan accepted our money readily, knowing the contract information, and a credit was charged to our VISA for $2,990.00 on that same day. That appeared on our charge card right away. Titan should have been made aware of the terms of the contract right then. There are fax machines, emails, etc. and every business we know of has access to such. When Titan realized their mistake, they should have immediately contacted us and gave us the option of either getting a revised bid or to credit our charge account giving us a full refund of the upfront payment. Sadly, this is where the falsehood, and false accusations begin. As you can see in their above response, no such details are given. A week later their employee named [redacted] showed up to take the final measurements and took our paint/stain samples. So a week later they were here doing that and not a word was said about a bad bid nor did we have that amount returned to our credit card. We were aware the contract said the project would take from 4-6 weeks to be accomplished. I didn't contact Titan sooner because during the time they were ordering & getting the doors ready for us we had Hurricane Harvey refugees at our house and we were also having our floors replaced. Time flew by and the 6 weeks were here. On October 5, 2017 (about 6 weeks from the signed contract date, I ([redacted]s) began to wonder why we had not been contacted in any way to establish the exact date the project would begin in our home. I called [redacted] and then the San Antonio Titan office on Gulfdale. I left numerous messages each time on voice mailboxes to both contacts. I kept calling 2-3 times per week leaving messages each time. On Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, I decided to personally go by the Gufdale office. It was around lunch time and the doors were locked. I decided to wait and then shortly after 1:00 p.m. I saw someone get out of their truck and go to the door. I followed. It was [redacted] the person who came to do the final measurements. He said he remembered our house and he searched all over for the project file on us. He couldn't find it. He said he remembered that the owner from Nashville got involved and said something about losing money on the project so our money would be returned. So you see, with all the searching, phone calls, no one showing up, or answering calls and with no money back to our account we got quite worried as to the integrity of Titan. Somehow there was a major disconnect within their company or it was just plain robbing us. The dismissed employee, [redacted], couldn't have run off with the money because we had our statement from USAA saying that Titan had indeed received our money. I then called Mr. Leake, owner, at the Nashville office and left a message for him to call me which he did not do. Then we called USAA to put a dispute onto the charge. They have verified there was no credit from Titan returning our money. USAA would also know if they had received a check from Titan for the bank account which to this day they have not. Also we contacted the Revdex.com to try to save this from happening to someone else. Then we did file a report with the Bexar County Sheriff's Department. See further details below. Here is where the falsehoods are documented: 1. It is blatantly false that Titan communicated with us in any way to let us know they were not going to do the project.2. It is blatantly false that Titan credited back the $2,990.00 to our charge card or gave us our money back. 3. It is blatantly false that Titan contacted us in any way from the time of the charge to our credit card.USAA has no record of either a credit to our charge as should have been done. 4. Another lie as for the investigation. On Sat., 10/28 @ 6:40 PM I called to file a criminal complaint with the Bexar County Sheriff's office. That evening I talked to Deputy [redacted]. He filed the complaint as Bexar County Sheriff's ofc. (BCSO) case # [redacted]. He said I could call the BCSO investigation office on Monday, 11/30. I did that & on Nov. 1 I received a call from an investigator who I told the story to. The investigator said he would begin gathering information from various sources. As of today they are in a holding status because I had finally received a number of calls from Titan & especially the other employee who came to our house several times with [redacted]. He said he was extremely upset this had happened. He said he would call headquarters right away (Nashville). We have a recorded phone message from him, on 11/6, saying they indeed owed us the full credit and we should be receiving it in 7-10 days. I inquired as to why it would take that long to credit our account. but he said that is what he was told by headquarters. He apologized profusely to us and said that is not the way they do business. He said there should never be a lie or misrepresentation from this company. He did know about the bid being too low and the dismissal of [redacted] but was sure Titan would have contacted us and returned our money immediately.
