Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
[redacted] failed to acknowledge the fact that I had contacted them on January 30, 2015 upon receiving my first notification to contact them regarding my account. During this call I explained I had no knowledge of a due balance. She listed the charges I had on the account. She told me there was a $35.08 charge from Party City as well as a $1.05 charge and $39.95 charge for an address change. I did admit I completely forgot about the [redacted] charge, and told her something was not right since I never authorized a charge for $39.95 so I can have a change of address done. She told me to call that company and provided me the phone number, explaining that if I get that charge refunded all I would have to do to get my account in good standing with a zero balance would consist of me to paying $36.16. I was told the late fees would be waived as I had no knowledge of my charges due to me moving and since I had not used my card in a very long time. I also provided my new address. Immediately following this conversation I contacted the company that wrongfully charged me and they did refund me. I called [redacted] on Feb. 3 and spoke to [redacted] and asked if my refund went through and she confirmed that it did. On Feb. 5 I handed in the check for $36.16 at the [redacted] location. I have attached the phone records which proves this Jan. 30 phone call did take place. I do not feel it was my fault that they did not make a note on my account about this conversation. I did what they told me to do in order to put my account in good standing yet I'm the one being penalized. I also like to add that the second letter I received on Feb. 23 about this situation was dated February 18, which was the same day they reported it to the credit bureau, which means I didn't even get a chance to recieve the letter and contact them again. The letter clearly states "It is important that you contact me immediately upon receipt of this letter to avoid the excercise of [redacted] Credit Union's legal rights and remedies, to cure the default, according to the loan documents." I feel I was wrongly reported because I had already contacted them when I recieved the first letter, as well as 3 days later. When I received this second letter I immediately contacted them and eventually spoke to a supervisor named [redacted]. Clearly the issue wasn't resolved. I paid off my remaining balance the following day on Feb. 24. They failed to record my new address or make any notes on my account about the conversation on Jan. 30. They gave me poor customer service and wrongfully reported me to the credit bureau.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
Mr. [redacted] made legitimate charges on his [redacted] card. He admitted he forgot to make payment, thefore had a delinquency greater than 31 days. Credit Union was correct in reporting information to Credit Reporting Agencies. Mr. [redacted] changed address without notifying Credit Union so letters...
mailed to him were not received. As a courtesy Credit Union reversed one late fee. On 2/24/15 he paid off balance,; account reflects zero with no payment due.
Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
I had been retroactively charged for a service (Insurance at over $1,900 a year compared to $350 a year) that was never provided. During that lapse of insurance there was no coverage on the motorcycle. No coverage by any third party, nothing. In comparison this is 20% of my vehicle cost, my record is clean and this is also very bad business practice, particularly when, in the same week they offer me a mailer inviting me to lower insurance rates!
Only after receiving the first and only letter indicating they were placing me on their third party insurance (at which time I discovered the lapse, I already placed full coverage insurance on the vehicle), did they inform me they would be charging me for a service that I never received. They offered a refund from that point as stated.
Bottom line is, the vehicle was not protected during the lapse, they are profiteering at the expense of the lienholder. No insurance was provided during this time. Their effort to collect retroactively for a service not provided is bad business practice. This was done by their third party which they indicated they have little control of.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
3/19/15 Credit Union reversed a second late fee and as a goodwill gesture amended member's credit report to remove delinquency reporting for January 2015. 3/20/15 filed with Credit Bureau.
Review: I submitted an application for a $120K home equity loan with Sikorsky Financial Credit Union on May 11, 2015. I informed them that I recently purchased my first home and that I am looking for a loan to fix up the house. It should be clear to anyone that $120K is a relatively significant loan, so it would make sense to advise the customer that they would not approve a loan for a house that is in "fair" condition. Unfortunately, I was never informed that this would be an issue, so I proceeded and provided the $500 fee to process the loan application. I firmly believe that all companies should be required to disclose all pertinent information before accepting a payment for a service. Sikorsky Financial Credit Union did not fully disclose all reasons for denying a loan. Therefore I should not be responsible to pay for a service that was not clearly communicated.Desired Settlement: A full refund of $500.

Review: I have had a credit card account with [redacted] for 10 years and 4 months. In October 2014, I purchased a home and moved to [redacted] from [redacted] I have never once made a late payment to this credit card account the entire time I have been a customer to them. In August 2014 I had transferred my credit card balance to another credit card, leaving a 0.00 balance, but kept the card in case I ever needed it. In October after I had moved, I used the card to do a change of address, the first company apparently charged me 39.95 for this service even though I never hit submit and backed out when I realized the charge. And after realizing that charge I redid it through the u.s postal service for 1.05. Which I used this card for. And I used the card later in October to purchase a Halloween costume at [redacted] Then I forgot about it. So on January 30, 2015 I recieved a letter from
[redacted] saying my account was in default and it would be sent to collections if I did not contact them immediately. So I called them that minute realizing I had honestly made a mistake and forgotten to pay that bill
Since I hadn't recieved any statements. I talked to a woman in the collections department where she told
Me my balance was 128.82. I was shocked as to how it was that high since the only time I remember using it was at party city for 36.00 and the 1.05 for the change of address. The other was the 39.95 charge which I jmmendiately told her that was not supposed to have gone through. She was very nice and professional and told
Me so saw on the account that I hardly used it and saw that I had moved because of the charges and that if I had the 39.95 charge refunded from that company and paid the 36.00 for the party city charge she would remove all the late charges and my account would be back to a 0.00 balance. I said thank you and told her I would do so. On February 5, 2015 I went to the [redacted] branch in [redacted] and gave them a check for the 36.00 and the 39.95 had been refunded to the account. I called [redacted] again on February 3 and talked to a different woman in the collections department just to let them know I had taken care of those things. As far as I knew at this point, everything was taken care of and my account was at a 0.00 balance. She told me that day she had no knowledge as to the 36.00 check or anything about what had been discussed but to hand in the check if that's what I was supposed to do and that my current balance was 77.71 before handing in the check and that if the fees were supposed to be waived that they would probably be waived after I handed in the payment. So as far as I knew, after I made the payment my account would be 0.00. Then today, February 23, 2015, I recieved a letter that had been forwarded from my old address from
Sikorsky. They mailed it out February 19, 2015, that my account was in default and it would be sent to a collection agency if I did not contact them immediately. I called right away, and was told that my account balance was 77.71. All late fees and interest since October 2014. I told the woman that I had already taken care of this and told her what the previous woman had told me. She told me that she had no notes or record that I had called them before. After talking with Her a few minutes I asked her if this was going to affect my credit report, it had been reported 4 days prior. The day they mailed me this letter threatening to send it to collections. I feel like I got punished for their mistake of not making a note on my account about what had been discussed and I asked to speak to her supervisor. I explained the entire situation to this supervisor who did not care. I understand the late fees, but if someone you spoke with told you they would waive the late fees as long as you cleared and took care of the legitimate charges on the account, that's what you expect to be done. You don't rxpect to receive another threatening letter for those late fees upon late fees and interest, call right away , and find out they reported it to the credit bureau already, the day they mailed you the letter. I have all of the phone records and the check that cleared for the 36.00 I owed them. I feel this was unfair treatment and poor customer relations. I shouldn't have a negative mark on my credit as I did my part to take care of the account as soon as I had gotten the letter. I was penalized for their poor note taking skills. And I had previously given the woman my new mailing address on that January 30th phone call that they don't seem to have record of and I do. They reported me to the credit bureau because they couldn't contact me. I have proof that I had been in contact with them since I became aware of the situation on multiple occasions. As well as the payments made to that account.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome would be an apology for unjustly making a negative mark on my credit report. Long term
Customers with outstanding credit history should not be treated this way. It's unacceptable. The negative mark made on my credit for no reason should be reversed as well. It would
Also be appropriate to wave the late charges and interest like
They originally stated they were going to do. Their mission statement is "we are committed to act in the best interest of our membership" They have not followed this.

Review: The following information pertains to Account # XXXXXXXXX-XX at Sikorsky Financial Credit Union. This is now my THIRD complaint, as they continue to charge my account with additional insurance charges. Again I have been charged $467 on my loan account for not having proper insurance on my car. To recap, I purchased a 2002 Subaru Impreza in July 2010. A few months after purchasing the vehicle, the engine ceased. The car had far more damage to it than anticipated, so the car will remain out of commission indefinitely. Due to this fact, I am no longer in possession of this car. Hence, there is no longer a need for car insurance. I am still continuing to faithfully make my payments for/on this loan and trying to finish paying the loan in its entirety within months now. I have tried to contact and communicate with Sikorsky Financial Credit Union several times now, but to no avail. They keep informing me that 'someone will return my call!' It has now been months since trying to seek resolution pertaining to this matter. I have also requested my past banking statements from November 2012 to present. I feel that I conveniently did NOT receive these statements, since the charge of $467 was charged on my loan account on November 28, 2012. I was informed that they would be mailed to me TWO (2) months ago. I am still awaiting their arrival! I have also incurred other 'charges' toward my loan due to this matter. This company is NOT 'customer friendly' when trying to resolve an account issue.
Product_Or_Service: Subaru Impreza
Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund
I am seeking a full refund of $467 for the unnecessary insurance coverage, the additional 'late fees' due to this matter, and lastly a $2.74 refund that has been deducted from my Regular Share (Savings) Account balance (should reflect $5 balance). I would like all stated amounts to be refunded toward my loan balance.I would also like to receive my past bank statements from November 2012 to present, as promised. Thereafter, I would like my current bank statement to reflect such refunds.

This is now my FOURTH (4th) complaint against this business (with my last complaint recently dated August 8, 2013).I was just informed from my Credit Monitoring service that Sikorsky Financial Credit Union has recently reported to the Credit Bureaus that I have been late for my loan payments for several months now. I have NEVER been late with my payments thus far. My records of such loan payments to them is well documented. I have even paid EARLY with such stated payments each and every month! They have now managed to sabotage my credit report. I CAN NOT ACCEPT ANY MORE ABUSE FROM THIS FINANCIAL INSTITUTION!

Review: On 7-14 and 7-16 my Bank [redacted] charged me 4 fees for 32.00 for "overdraft" fees for bounced checks and ATM transactions. Funny thing is, I have the overdraft protection. And I also have line of credit which would have covered any overages first off. There was enough money in the [redacted]. I had almost 29.00 dollars in overages, that would have been covered by the almost 48.00 dollars in the line of credit. Now over the last 13 years I have used line of credit for overages. I don't overdraw my account intentionally and if so I would agree I owe the fees. But the fact is that the line of credit was supposed to kick in and cover it, baffled me why the system did not work. Now in addition I have the overdraft protection to honor checks and transactions. In case there was no money in the [redacted]. So the [redacted] did not take affect and in [redacted] mind, they thought they could whack me with fees and said I overdrew my account, when that is BS, when the line of credit would have covered it. So I called them and fought with them. They returned 3 of the 4 fees to me. Then they wont budge on this last one for 32.00. My account is still negative, even though line of credit is present. [redacted] gave me some nonsense about this does not kick until that kicks in and it has to be over a certain amount. So what I did was I argued and said the money is there in the [redacted], they still would not do anything about it. They are sticking to their guns with not refunding me this money. I live on a tight budget and all this bank wants to do is make money. Its gotten bad in the last few years. They want to nickel and dime me for something that is no fault of my own. I believe they are either trying to make extra money on me or they have a glitch in their system as to why my account did not cover the overages or they instituted some new bs policy to nickel and dime the customers. Well I asked for the manager to call back and he blew me off, never bothered, which tells me they don't care. So the underlings did try to help, but the could not reverse that last fee. I argued on the phone and email wise with these people and I am tired of this nonsense. As of now I have about 48 dollars in my line one which can be used for overages for this almost 29 dollars of transactions but [redacted] refused to budget and do it automatically to correct my account, they claim they cannot. At this point, I am likely going to close my account after almost 15 years with them. It goes to show they don't care about their customers and they will fight me over something that from my view was not my fault, but theirs!Desired Settlement: I want my 32.00 overage fee back that they charged me and then for them to correct the mistakes and have better customer service.

Review: On February 14th, 2014 I had called the Visa department of the Sikorsky Financial Credit Union to notify them that I was traveling abroad and I wanted to make sure I could use my credit card in all the countries I was visiting. I then also asked if there was a foreign transaction fee on purchases that I made overseas. I was assured by a woman that were no applicable fees. Because I was surprised by this (as I had called all the rest of my credit cards and most of them had a fee), I asked again and was assured a second time that there was no fee associated with making purchases on the credit card in the countries that I specified. When I returned to the United States I noticed on my statement that a 2% charge was made on each transaction that I had made while aboard. I called the Visa department again to voice my confusion. They assured me that there was always a 2% charge and a manager would get back to me at my request. When the manager called me I again explained the situation and what had happened. He had explained that he made a call to the customer service department of the Visa department and they assured him that all of their employees are instructed to tell the customer about the 2% fee. I told him that was not what I was told, and that I don't think I should be responsible for the foreign transaction charges as it was not my fault that the customer service representative had told me false information about their company's policies. All I asked for was the reimbursement of the fees credited to my account. The total amount of the fees was $5.83. The manager refused to credit me the money, even though the only reason I used this card was because of his employee telling me false information. He told me this was the end of the line and there was nothing he was willing to do for me.Desired Settlement: My account credited the $5.83.

Review: I became my father's durable power of attorney late Feb 2014. ( he had a stroke )I went for a heloan with sikorsky credit union. Told them this and emailed them copy of quitclaim. I was told everything was all set went to bank and received a copy of approval letter and setup closing date. Then I had my contractor being work. The letter said only thing needed was insurance declaration page. Went to branch and provided that. Couple hours later I get a call saying we can't do closing. [redacted] told me town clerk office accepts anything and to redo document. Document was redone. [redacted] wasn't in office Monday. I called back Tuesday because no one does call backs. I was told by [redacted] everything is set for the second time. Hours later I get a call back saying sorry. Need more paper work. I send them work. Spoke to john Tuesday told me he would call me back Wednesday he was sick monday. No call from [redacted]hursday I call and [redacted] is in a meeting but [redacted] tells me there are notes on file. Tells me they need more things to redo notary on paper work and my father's license. What's the point of the license? I ask [redacted] if I get all this will this be the last thing. She tells me I don't know. I'm frustration is beings told twice that everything was all set. I have had plenty of loans at this bank no problems. I felt as though I was doing something wrong. No empathy just oh policy. What is the point of underwriting and approving someone if you will take it back twice?IDesired Settlement: I just hope that no other member gets treated like I did. No one took ownership. No call backs. I had to call. Approved and told twice everything was all all set.
