Unfortunately, dental appointments are booked 6-months in advanceEvenings and weekends are the preferred time for most patientsWe placed you on the cancellation list on October 17, 2016 forSaturday afternoonsPeople tend to keep these appointments as they are aware it is difficult to get inWe attempted to contact you several times to confirm, as it is our office policy to call business days for appointments booked more than month in advance. If they are not confirmed, it is also our office policy that we give the opportunity of this unconfirmed appointment to other patients who have been patiently waiting on our cancellation list. In regards to keeping January 14, 2017 appointment at 2:00pm, this was very quickly filled and is no longer availableWhen you had called our office on Tuesday, January 10, you were given the option of11:00am which you declined before stating you were going elsewhere. We would be more than happy to transfer your file to any other dental office you choose to go to, as you had previously discussed with our employee before hanging up on themIf you are willing to stay with our clinic, we can accommodate you for Saturday, January 14, 2017 @2:30pm insteadPlease confirm. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I can appreciate your explanation on your policy for appointments. I am disappointed to not receive an apology for the lack of care and attention received by your clerical staff with the initial booking and then the automatic cancellation while I was out of the country, especially given your comment knowing that no other dates and times worked for my schedule [redacted]. If you were that fully aware that no other dates or times worked for me, I can not understand the need to cancel my appointment. I would like the appointment for 2:30 pm on Saturday January 14 as you currently have my file for this 'cavity filling' appointment and my family and I hold Dr. Jacob with a high regard as a Dentist. Following this filling I will assess whether I retain my business with Dr. Jacob or look elsewhere.
