June 29th, 2012 a storm damaged the top large section of our illuminated sign. Our sign holds three sections of sign faces.I contacted Sign-a-Rama for an estimate. We recieved a quote for $5879.05 from [redacted], a sales associate with Sign-a-Rama. The quote was for the complete replacement of sign faces and repairs to bulb section. He told me (verbally) the lamp repair would be an additional $200-$400 for replacement of ballasts or sockets. They'd know for sure what was needed when the installers looked at it. I sent a $5000. deposit on July 21st. To increase their sales and make our sign look better Mr. [redacted] gave us estimates on the two remaining sections of our sign. He held up the original quote and said if we ordered all three pairs of sign faces at once it would save us a substantial amount of money. When all deposits were paid [redacted]'s the owner told me Mr [redacted] no longer worked for Sign-a-Rama. I would have thought Mr.[redacted]'s would have gone over his quotes before ordering materials. We ordered a second set of faces and waited months to have the sign faces made. I called weekly to find out about the signs. Around Thanksgiving the sign faces finally were done. Early December their installer was hurt so they arranged for another company to repair the sign. When they came out to install the sign faces I asked about the lamp repair and they said they don't do that. December 6th Mr. [redacted]s sent me a quote for $2624 to repair the illumination. That is NOT what we agreed to. They sent us to a collection agency instead of completing work quoted. I paid for two sets of sign faces. Now he want's $667. for additional fees. Our sign faces are in but our sign does NOT light. Sign-a-Rama did not complete work they quoted. I am extremely disappointed in their company.
