I am writing in response to letter received pertaining to a repair made on a Cub Cadet lawn mower. Sievers Equipment has been in business for 45 years and takes our customer satisfaction very seriously. This complaint has been directed to me and I am responding from our main office and the repairs...

were made at our Hillsboro location. I want to get this response to you within your 7 day request. However, I have not been able to review this complaint totally and talk to call parties involved at this time. Lawn movers are only one product line that we service and sell. Sievers is also a large agriculture equipment dealer and we are in the middle of the corn and soybean harvest. This is a very busy time for us and I will need a little time to put everything together. I find it odd that [redacted] would tell this customer that Sievers installed the original belt but failed to give him the correct belt. That is not the normal way to make a repair. Just because a new pulley was installed does not mean that a different belt other than original equipment should be installed. Don’t know where [redacted] is coming from on this. I would like to see the invoice of the repair that [redacted] made to try and understand why they would say this and what the customer was actually charged for. I do support my service manager’s statement that he disagreed about what [redacted] has told the customer. If this customer could supply us with the invoice it will help or I will contact [redacted] at [redacted] to get a copy of this and see why they told the customer this. We have a long business relationship with [redacted] so I am sure they will help me understand this. I am sure our service department would have looked at the mower again had Mr. [redacted] brought it back to our shop and am confident that the problem would have been resolved to customer’s satisfaction. However, the customer took the unit to another business. Sievers Equipment has been a Cub Cadet dealer for a long time at five locations here in Illinois. I would hesitate to guess how many Cub Cadet units have been repaired at Sievers Equipment over the years and I can state that this is the first complaint I have ever had to handle with the Revdex.com over a Cub Cadet repair. I will check into this matter and prepare an additional response within the next week or as soon as I can collect all information.
