I purchased a "new" mobility scooter at full retail price of $2,400. I am disabled and has waited a long time to be able to purchase a new scooter I can use for a long time. The next day after my purchase the owner and president, [redacted] emailed me that he will not have a new scooter available to me for about a month. I immediately requested a refund and intended on purchasing a scooter from a different vendor. Mr. [redacted] lied and convinced me to not be refunded and that he just so happens to be getting a "new" scooter delivered to him the next day. A week later I received a used beat up scooter. When I emailed Mr. [redacted] he admitted to being deceptive by lying about the product being new. I tried to resolve this by only asking a 25% credit since it was used but he only offered to credit me $100 or send me new wheels since the scooter he sent had very worn ones. The business is very unprofessional and unlawful by deceptive practices. I was clearly frauded and was not given a fair resolution.Desired SettlementI offered to initially settle for only 25% against my legal advise given which was only $600 but now I would like the full amount of $2,400.
Around or about March 2013. A scooter was purchsed for me from the company identified. The luggie scooter woked well until December 2013. I called the company to inform them that the scooter was not operating. The representative told me the scooter is under warranty, I was given the number to the warranty center. I called the center, they asked for the model number as well as the serial number. They proceeded to tell me that they could not honor the warranty because it had a previous owner. I called Sierra mobility back, told [redacted], President, what th warranty place told me and he tried to engage the warranty company. The warranty center would not honor the warranty. I then asked [redacted] to replace the scooter because e purchased under the impression that it was new. $2,323.00. I mentioned that I was willing to settle for new batteries and new chargers. My last communication with [redacted] was April 2014. He has stopped communicating with me. I am a disable veteran, this is certainly no way to be treated.Product_Or_Service: Luggie Travel ScooterOrder_Number:[redacted]Desired SettlementWould settle for a new luggie scooter, not used.
