We were offering for sale from our inventory. The car had been advertised for sale locally and on [redacted] where [redacted] found the car. He contacted us directly outside of [redacted] wanting to buy the car offline. He was always negotiating for a lower price. Despite the fact we had already agreed on price and terms. I had a feeling that [redacted] would be difficult after the sale. We spoke to [redacted] a couple of weeks after he had taken delivery of the car and he was very happy with his purchase. However later he contacted us wanting to renegotiate the price. He thought we should give him a partial refund and we told him as we did before we were not going to renegotiate price. We did offer to take the car back and give him full purchase price and pay the shipping. He did not want that. He wanted to keep the car and get money too. We advised him from the very beginning as we do with all of our customers that the car was an old used car and he should have the car independently inspected. We never describe a car as flawless, perfect, showroom. All of these cars have issues. There is no such thing as a perfect used car. All old cars do have issues and [redacted] knew that when he bought it. He was very confident saying he was a sophisticated classic car collector/investor and had an extensive collection of cars and was not interested in spending $175.00 for an inspection. [redacted] was never told the car had been restored. We never gave him any indication of miles on the engine since a rebuild or even if it had been rebuilt. He declined having the car inspected. We told [redacted] that this is an old car and all cars have issues. We informed [redacted] that the car was nearly 47 Years old and we were not able to secure any history of repairs or accidents.. The car was being SOLD AS-IS and advised him of our warranty at the time of purchase. The warranty is also posted on our website and it was posted with the [redacted] listing for the car Here is the warranty that we provide with every car sold.
