Sid's Auto Care

I took my expedition to Sid at Sid's auto care and left it with him. He called and told me the problem is the transmission and he needed $450 to get the parts, so I dropped it off. He had it for over a week and I didn't hear from him, even after I had called and left messages. He finally called and told me it was done and running great. I went to pick it up before work. He charged me and extra $800 totaling $1165.70. As I was walking out to drive to work he said "oh by the way its still not working right." I asked why I was there picking it up then? Shouldn't you have told me there where more problems from the beginning? He said well I know you are hard for cash so I didn't say anything. I told him he should have given me that choice instead of taking my money. I asked him if it was going to break down on me. He said no. At midnight that night I was driving home from work and it broke down. A few days later I took it to another mechanic and they said that he didn't hook back up some wires in the transmission and he left my 4 wheel drive unhooked. I had to spend an extra $100 to fix his mistake and then another $400 to fix more problems he didn't tell me about. I called him asking him to pay me the $100 that I had to pay for his mistake and also give me the receipt for the transmission. I went to pick it up and to show him the receipt from the other mechanic. He gave me the receipt from the place he bought transmission from and on it was a note saying he gave me a $100 for his mistake, but he did not give me a dime. I had a friend with me as a witness. Sid just argued with me and had all kinds of excuses as to why he didn't hook things back up and how he didn't think I could afford all the problems with the car so he didn't tell me about them.
