Review: My gas dryer was not dispersing hot air, so I called in Sid Phillips Service, who I've been using for over 15 years. The repairman spent less than 10 minutes cleaning out the dryer vent. He said he replaced the thermostat and the fuse, but in order to do so, he would have to get behind the dryer or pull the dryer out, none of which was done. We have had this done before, so we know how this should have gone... My Son was there the entire time, and all that was done was cleaning out the dryer vent, So as this was being done, I went upstairs to get the money to pay the repairman, when I got downstairs, he was already outside. He said the dryer was fixed, and the total was $200.00 When I asked how did you fix it so fast? He said it was done, in a nasty tone of voice, and that he left the old replacement parts on top of the dryer for me to see.. He got in his car and left. I went down to the dryer and found no old parts that he said he left behind. I checked behind the dryer and didn't see that the thermostat or fuse was replaced.. Sometimes, if the dryer vent is clogged, the ignition will not light, it's a safety thing built in to newer dryers. So I am assuming that he unclogged the vent, and charged me for labor and parts that he did not provide. I contacted the owner of the company, a woman who answered, she said she was the "New Owner" and was very unpleasant, didn't want to hear my complaint and just insisted that they fixed my dryer.... The dryer worked for about a week, and now again, it's not blowing hot air. $200.00 later, and I am stuck with a broken dryer.Desired Settlement: I paid in Cash, I have a receipt, and I want my cash refund. I refuse to have this company step foot in my house again. They lie, and they are not trustworthy. Since this new owner took over, there are nothing but complaints on the internet.
