I ordered 1000 decks of cards I designed needed by Fri. Nov. 30 in time for 3 big events that weekend where I could sell them. They came Mon. too late
I designed a deck cards of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for the 70th Anniversary. I ordered 1000 decks requested to arrive by Nov. 30 for 3 big events in DC, including a bog all day conference on Sat and a Human Rights Concert Sunday night where I could sell them and send quantities back with people at these events to California and out of the country. There were other companies who did fulfillment and had better prices but could not promise to get on time. The communication with the art staff was not good. We lost time because he designed a card back that I did not ask for after I sent him the design my daughter did that I used. The first proofs had tiny font on the top with blank space and hard to read. They had to be redone. There was a critical period of a few days when I could not reach them. They did not go out when originally promised and did not arrive until the Monday after so I lost the opportunity. I still have many boxes sitting my living room. I sell a few here and there but have to wrap and weigh and ship each one which is time consuming.

Here is some communication

I had my daughter insert the exact background that I chose and asked for.
I paid $12. for the Getty stock I sent ***. It looks much better than the free one.

Days ago I asked for a template so that I could do the layout and font sizes which I could have done over the weekend.

Most cards have tiny hard to read font and empty space. It would be easier for me to do the layout myself than to have to explain it.

I need to complete the order in the AM and need to be able to communicate. Thanks, Diane

I approve, please move forward as quickly as possible. I have a small window of opportunity to get to DC, Phila and NYC. Missing it would be consequential. I am concerned about losing money and opportunity to raise consciousness and to deliver in time for Human Rights Day as well.

Also if I can move these I will reorder in time for Christmas sales, which will be easier for us.

Thanks, Diane

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund of half of what I paid since I lost money and time and still have inventory. I am giving them away to people like business cards.

we are not aware of any issue from this client and this order is from just over 1 year ago

after looking into the order this client is clearly misrepresenting all circumstances and should have contacted us if she had any issue(s) which we would have responded to. to bring this up over a year past the order is quite suspicious to me.

Customer Response • Dec 03, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
While I did not misrepresent the circumstances, I agree I should have dealt with them directly at the time. There were lots of communication problems and wasted time which delayed the order.

We received poor quality cards, used the wrong card stock, colors did not match what was ordered, cards were cut off center, and in the wrong order.
Quality Playing Cards Inc. (Shuffled Ink) claims to be a printer and manufacturer of custom playing cards.

A dispute occurred when we received poor quality cards, they used the wrong card stock, cards were cut off center, colors did not match what was ordered, cards were in the wrong order in each deck, duplicate cards were printed in each deck, and they missed the shipping deadline. When I attempted to resolve the dispute with Shuffled Ink's owners, I was on the receiving end of yelling and screaming. This was followed by obnoxious and insulting emails from Shuffled Ink's owner, Charles *** and son ***. Many of these emails were hurling personal insults, illegal threats to damage my personal credit, and attacks on the content of our products - a project Shuffled Ink's owner enthusiastically endorsed when seeking the initial order.

Instead of Shuffled Ink engaging in a mature discussion that may have led to a resolution, the extremely immature behavior of Shuffled Ink's owners made resolving this conflict directly impossible. Therefore, I have filed this Revdex.com complaint based on the following issues:

1) We never received the merchandise I was charged $2,645.00 for. We only received 5 decks of cards with an invoice value of $2.66 per deck, or $13.30 in value.

2) Shuffled Ink misrepresented themselves, claiming they are the printer for U.S. based print jobs. I have since learned Shuffled Ink outsources their U.S. printing to third parties.

3) Shuffled Ink promoted their products and services by mailing us card samples. The card stock eventually produced was not of the same quality and thickness used in the original samples. A pure bait and switch scheme.

4) Prior to the full print run, Shuffled Ink was supposed to provide us with printed sample decks of cards with my company's designs for my review and approval. Matthew *** stated that was no problem and they would run off a dozen printed samples within 3 days and he would FEDEX them to me. He never did.

5) The initial printing proofs had errors that required correction. I advised Shuffled Ink verbally and in writing of the errors that required correction before they should proceed. Shuffled Ink failed to correct these errors.

6) Shuffled Ink agreed to FEDEX us printed samples by an agreed to ship by date for a project with a time sensitive deadline. They missed the deadline.

7) The sample decks we received were defective, of poor quality, did not match what was ordered and were rejected. Shuffled Ink's invoice provides for credit or refund if they are notified of errors within 7 days. Shuffled Ink also offers a "Customer Satisfaction Guarantee" on their website and Facebook page. I contacted Shuffled Ink the same day I received the samples, advised I was unsatisfied and requested a refund. Shuffled Ink refused to honor their published guarantee or invoice terms, and would not offer a refund.

We never received any merchandise other than 5 sample decks of playing cards. I suggested to Matthew *** by phone a proposed settlement and asked we receive either A) Full refund in the amount of $2,645.00 from Shuffled Ink; or B) Shuffled Ink could ship us 1,000 decks of cards (50% of the order value that they had already been paid for, per the original invoice). Option B would have a caveat that we would have no obligation for the rest of the order until we could see what we received.

Shuffled Ink handled our order and complaint in bad faith, did not produce the product we paid for, used unfair and deceptive trade practices, and failed to honor their 7 day refund policy and website guarantee.

A mature response to this complaint will be welcomed, versus immature emails, exaggerated statements, and false accusations made to date by Shuffled Ink and its owners. Hopefully, the Revdex.com can prevail upon Shuffled Ink and its owners to respond in a professional manner. It will be only through a rational, mature reply that a resolution will potentially be achieved here.

Desired Outcome

A) Full refund in the amount of $2,645.00 from Shuffled Ink; or B) Shuffled Ink can ship us 1,000 decks of cards (50% of the order value that they had already been paid for, per the original invoice). Option B would have a caveat that we would have no obligation for the rest of the order until we could see what we received.

This complaint is blatantly false and vindictive complaint is as follows....

We started Shuffled Ink almost 20 years ago. I built this company upon offering the best customer service, best quality and best prices. We have served over 40,000 clients around the entire world. Our reviews are top of the charts. This might be the 3rd or 4th time we have had a client physically/personally come to our production facility to witness and approve his order literally his proofs were being printed. He was given free access to our graphics department to make any adjustments or corrections he desired. We did not charge him a dime for many hours of our time. He was given free reign with our staff to make everything exactly as wished. We printed exactly as he wished and the cards came out beautifully. Colors matched, there were no defects whatsoever. I did not see this fact in his complaint herein. Did you? The rest of his complaint is no different. Every issue is either distorted and/or intentionally fabricated.

Client canceled his order after it was fully printed and packaged for shipping giving blatantly false reasons which we disputed. He refused to pay for his personally approved order. He disputed the credit card charges. He made the same false statements he included in this complaint. We proved with facts, e-mails, photos and finished product samples that he claims are completely false. HIS credit card company agreed with us. He appealed it. The appeal's entity confirmed for us.

We then contacted client to ask if he would like to follow through with his order. He declined and only offered discounts and terms that would put us at a significant loss. We declined his insincere offers and disposed of his order as we explicitly told him we would if he refused to pay for it in full.

This complaint is nothing more than an attempt to leverage and slander our pristine reputation. This complaint is blatant fraud.

If you have any questions I would be happy to speak with you/anybody.

Thank you,

Charles

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
My complaint filed with the Revdex.com was filed as a good faith effort to seek a legitimate resolution. When I first advised Shuffled Ink of my dissatisfaction with the printed samples I received, their sales representative agreed by phone they were printed and/or cut defectively. Shuffled Ink's owner's son, Matthew ***, also admitted by phone to many of the defects I have noted. Shuffled Ink's idea of a resolution was for me to purchase additional products. When I declined, I was met with yelling and screaming by the company's owner's son. The owner, who brags about his customer service, never had the decency to return my phone call to discuss the matter, but instead sent me rude, insulting, and childish emails. Other Shuffled Ink customers have complained about receiving the exact same treatment.

According to Shuffled Ink's owner Charles ***, any complaint filed against his company is "fraud" or "blatant misrepresentation" and use of similar exaggerated language. He is simply accusing others what he knows he is guilty of. Rather than addressing the original dispute or this Revdex.com complaint in good faith, the business owner Charles *** used a "cut and paste" reply that mirrors his reply to the previous Revdex.com complaint filed against him. His reply to my complaint, just as his reply to the prior complaint, is filled with exaggerated statements that in no way reflected the true events that occurred.

I bring up the prior complaint in reference to mine because not only are so many of the circumstances similar, and the business owner's reply nearly identical, but an obvious lie by Shuffled Ink must be pointed out. In the business owner's prior complaint reply to the Revdex.com, he states his company has served 20,000 customers worldwide. Now, in response to my complaint, a brief 8 months later, the business owner claims to have served 40,000 customers worldwide. Obviously it did not take the business 20 years to gain 20,000 customers and only 8 more months to gain an additional 20,000 customers. Shuffled Ink employs a handful of a people in a small office. This is typical of how Shuffled Ink conducted themselves with me - numerous contacts along the way were met with wild exaggerations about their capabilities and customer service. Per the owner's statement to me when we met, he operated his business out of his garage just a few years ago.

Shuffled Ink offered me free graphic design services to gain my company's business. The business owner's claim that I was given "free reign with our staff to make everything exactly as wished" is not true. Yes, I did visit their facility. However, Shuffled Ink's owner Charles *** appeared very nervous to have me at his facility (his graphic designer invited me to visit). The business owner interrupted the graphic designer multiple times, at times asking me to wait in a waiting area for up to an hour, while they could attend to other business. When their hard copy proof was printed three times using the wrong color, I was told they were very busy and they would correct the color mismatch if I would leave them post it notes on the proper color attached to the proof. I did leave these notes with both the graphic designer and the business owner's son, Matthew ***, their VP of Production. I then followed up in writing by email and phone re-iterating all of my requests. Despite this, they still got the color wrong. Matthew *** admitted to me by phone "they guessed at the color" (ignoring all of my requests).

The business owner's claim that they did not charge me a dime for graphic design is false. The business owner stated in an email to me: "we added an additional $540.00 for the 24 hours you spent online and physically at our facility using our graphic staff." I certainly did not spend 24 hours "online" or at their office using their "free" graphic design services, and don't owe a penny for this. Here again, instead of addressing the complaint initially, or through the Revdex.com in good faith and with integrity, the business owner just invents things, demands money that is not owed, and makes solving the initial problem - a botched print and cutting job - impossible.

The following facts remain: The cards were cut off center with uneven borders, colors did not match what was ordered, Shuffled Ink outsourced the print job to a third party without telling us, dark blotches appeared on many of the cards,
they used card stock of thinner and inferior quality to the card stock in the samples and proofs we received and paid for, they missed the agreed to ship deadline, and they failed to FEDEX us samples for approval before commencing the final print run. Further, Shuffled Ink failed to honor their invoice refund policy or website customer satisfaction guarantee.

Shuffled Ink claims they recently contacted me and asked me to go ahead with my order but alleges I demanded discounts that would put them at a disadvantage. This is another completely invented claim by the business owner. I never demanded any discounts. I simply stated our cards, which had time sensitive content, were now outdated. However,
they could potentially be used as samples if they were free of defects. Shuffled Ink retained $2,650 of our money, which represented 1,000 decks per the invoice price. Therefore, I suggested a potential settlement of our dispute where they could ship us the 1,000 decks already paid for.

Instead of resolving the matter amicably with me, Shuffled Ink's VP of Production and the business owner's son Matthew *** starting yelling at me over the phone, had a meltdown, hung up on me, and now they state they have destroyed the merchandise I paid for. My settlement offer was made in good faith. Shuffled Ink responded in bad faith.

My bank did not agree with Shuffled Ink as claimed by Shuffled Ink's owner and I reserve my VISA appeal rights. In fact, my bank representative was very upset to hear this ridiculous claim. Shuffled Ink provided false information to pursue their appeal to my credit card dispute. This will be made clear to VISA.

Shuffled Ink states they destroyed the entire print order, despite having $2,645 of my money. Any legitimate company would have shipped the 1,000 decks of cards these funds paid for. Instead, Shuffled Ink destroyed our merchandise. To keep both our money and the product, or to keep our money and destroy the product, was an intentional act of fraud, making Shuffled Ink liable for treble damages and punitive damages. One must ask why Shuffled Ink would destroy the product instead of shipping the 1,000 decks that were paid for. An obvious conclusion is they did not want us to have all the evidence of their botched print job. If the print job was completed properly as they have insisted, they would have shipped us the merchandise.

The business owner claims his company has a pristine reputation, however, there is obviously a Revdex.com complaint preceding mine that contradicts his claim. Multiple reviews on Facebook also complain about very similar poor quality print jobs and misconduct by this business and its owner. I have spoken with former customers of Shuffled Ink who shared very similar problems to those outlined in my complaint to the Revdex.com, and the prior published Revdex.com complaint. A review of Shuffled Ink's Revdex.com record, Facebook reviews, and the Orlando County, Florida Clerk of the Court public records for the business and its owner will help anyone who wishes to make their own decision about this company and its owner's reputation.

My initial concern stated by phone to the Revdex.com was a Revdex.com complaint would be unlikely to be met with a good faith response by Shuffled Ink's owner, but rather just with a "cut and paste" reply matching prior complaint responses, filled with exaggerated statements that in no way reflected the true events that occurred. Sadly, Shuffled Ink's owner did exactly as I stated ahead of time. Shuffled Ink's owner Charles *** clearly never had an interest in a good faith resolution of my dispute with his company at the time it occurred, or a resolution of my complaint filed with the Revdex.com.

We have stated our position on this fraudulent acting client. We stand by it 100% and have the documentation necessary, something client has not provided in any way,and we have no further comment to provide or more wasted time to give. We have already lost several thousand dollars on this order due to client's blatantly false statements, actions and claims.

I placed an order for a custom card deck that was supposed to be ready within 3-5 weeks from time of approval of the hard-copy proof. Six months after that I am still waiting for my order. This company created enormous delays, had miscommunications, quality problems, and in the end, was hostile and abusive by email when I tried to resolve the issue. I patiently attempted to work with them to resolve the product problem during this time. I had paid a large deposit and in the end they canceled the order but refunded only half of the deposit. The head of the company came up with a rationale for that that made no sense by "cooking up" some fake numbers as to why he was doing this.
Product_Or_Service: custom card deck
Order_Number: ***
Account_Number: n/a

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment Refund the entire deposit.

This complaint is a blatant misrepresentation of the facts and circumstances. The complaint is a complete spin on the truth. After numerous delays, all either caused directly or indirectly by client, and then threats by customer we decided to either complete the order at the price agreed upon or send a refund less the 200 decks approved, produced, delivered and approved again after delivery. Client demanded a discount without any basis whatsoever. We refused it. We sent client a refund. Our cost to produce 200 decks as opposed to 3,000 much higher per unit at 200 quantity. This is what client approved and received. Client is expecting 200 decks at the 3,000 price. Is that the sound of a genuine complaint? NO!. The complaint herein amounts to slander and fraud, because it is a conscious misrepresentation of the facts.

We are more than able to prove every point and how and why we have arrived at this point.

This client has threatened/blackmailed us in every way she can in order to get a lower price. We gave and gave until we could give no more. When we stopped she threatened to sue us.

We have e-mails and witness testimony available, if needed, to irrefutably prove this complaint is maliciously false.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me at 407-298-3579 or [email protected].

Our rating at Revdex.com is pristine and has been for many years, just as our reputation with tens of thousands of clients is only positive - look at our reviews.

Thank you,

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
(1) The business's reply is not accurate. I have the full email correspondence related to this matter, which shows that:
(a) I never, ever requested "200 decks at the 3,000 price."
(b) The owner admitted the company made errors, and that's why he agreed to pay to ship the 200 sample decks at his own expense in July.
(c) I never approved their production (sample) card deck. Specifically: they sent an initial production deck in the spring that they saw was clearly seriously flawed. After numerous delays on their part (forgetting to email back with any updates), they finally sent a second production (sample) deck months later in July, which the business owner stated in writing still had some problems with the colors, but was the best they could do and asked if I would accept a $500 discount off the order due to that. When I replied to suggest a slightly larger discount given the substantial delays as well as the color issue, he then went off the deep end and his emails became accusatory, angry, and he retracted the original $500 offer and refused to send the order even after I said I'd pay the full price for the order. It was truly bizarre to watch him deteriorate, with the emails becoming ever more strange and unreasonable. I repeatedly had to ask the head of the business to stop sending unprofessional emails and urged hime to work out this matter in a reasonable fashion, to no avail.
(2) As is evident, the business's reply to the Revdex.com complaint uses derogatory language that is extremely unprofessional. Words like, "malicious", "threats", "blackmail,", "slander", "fraud", "spin", "blatant misrepresentation" have no relation to the actual complaint I made, nor to anything that happened along the way on my end. The complaint I made is valid. His invective is inappropriate and unprofessional. I strongly urge the business owner to communicate in a professional fashion rather than hurling derogatory language with no actual basis.
(3) I maintain that the business owner simply has no right to arbitrarily come up with an outrageous price for 200 decks, a price that was never quoted nor agreed to, but which he made up after the fact. For example, in his email of July he stated he was paying the cost to cover air shipping of the 200 sample decks, but he is now billing me for that shipping. He agreed in writing that I had the right to approve the new sample deck, but he is now charging me for the decks even though I did not approve them.

Dear Revdex.com,

We have been an A+ rated member for many many years.

We have over served over 20,000 clients since our inception in 1999.

Of these 20,000 we have refused to associate with only 4 clients. This client is the 4th.

This client has connived, lied, and intentionally misrepresented the facts and circumstances.

This client has intentionally and maliciously filed this complaint to Revdex.com attempting to leverage and blackmail us.

This client has been sent a full refund less our retail cost of 200 decks of cards that were approved and delivered to her.

As far as we are concerned the issue is closed/resolved. We will not negotiate or associate with this ex-client ever again.

As far as we are concerned we are not happy with Revdex.com for publishing false and unsubstantiated claims, which are intended to only hurt our pristine reputation.

This was this client's objective after we told her that we could not deal with her any longer.

We offer quality and service that is unmatched in our industry and will not associate with liars, blackmailers and the like - pure and simple.

Anybody that would like to contact us directly I will be more than happy to speak to you.

Thank you,

Charles L, President
