After we got done replacing it, we stated it up and wanted to see if the cooling fans were working, and as we were running it we noticed the coolant temp sensor was reading incorrectly, which meant we needed to replace it. I told the consumer this, and he said he would do it himself. He said we spilled on the coolant sensor, but that wouldn't cause the coolant temp sensor go bad. I told him that and even diagnosed it for free. The reason why it didn't show that the temp sensor was bad was because it didn't have enough coolant in it. I tried explaining that to him. It wasn't a technician's mistake. I diagnosed it for him and showed him the code.
