I had my car fixed two months back They replaced the right control arm on the driver's side of my car. This was installed incorrectly and now the knuckle bearing is worn and I need a new axle. It is so bad that the control arm itself now needs to be replaced. Also when they did my brakes they did not put the cap back on and now I need a brake flush as well and a new cap. To get this done will cost $1,000 or more, all because they did not get it right in the first place. I went there today to ask nicely for them to repair or fix it and honor the warranty, but Douglas ***, the "new owner" refused and stated he did not have to honor the warranty because the work was done prior to him purchasing the business. My car now was between $1,000 and $1,500 worth of damage and he refused to even fix the faulty control arm.
Product_Or_Service: repair
Repair I simply want them to repair my car and do it correctly.
They tell you that your windshield has cracks and they repair for free. You have to make a claim to your insurance to pay them, therefor, not free.
Took my car in for a wash both inside and out on 10.19.2017. After having to sit there and haggle with the guy on what he would be able to clean in an hour and a half we finally agreed on 95 bucks to wash the outside and shampoo the seats on the inside. That alone should have turned me away but I was out of time and options at that point. After he handed me the ticket almost immediately he says there are chips in the windshield from my trip to *** and that they will repair it for free. All I had to do was take my insurance info with me inside and they would help me out.
I didn't see any cracks or chips but I figured hey I'm not the expert, maybe these guys really know what they are talking about and are helping me out. In hindsight that was dumb. You sit down there inside with the lady who basically hands you a phone to make your own claim to your insurance company to pay these guys for the "free" repair.
After about and hour and a half I finally get my car and while the back seats which I mainly asked to be cleaned came out good, the rest of it was *** for that price. I also don't think they even touched the windshield with the exception of wiping it down.
I've read several other reviews online about this place after the fact and I know I'm not the only one. Tell me why someone said they brought 3 different cars in to be washed and these guys said he had the same cracks in all 3? To me these are fraud in every sense of the word and totally against best practices.
This place needs to be shut down or for them to stop calling themselves detailers and just wash cars inside and out. They need to stop with the windshield claims.
High pressure sales tactics to repair alleged chipped windshields. Try to convince you of chips that are not there or of ones they've previously fixed
Every time I or my partner have brought our vehicles there to be washed, individuals immediately approach the vehicle and inspect the vehicle windshield and EVERY time approach us and inform us of a chip in our windshield. One time, there was a very obvious chip, and I did authorize them to repair it, I gave them my insurance information, they obtained the authorization and repaired it. Two weeks later, I brought the car in again to be washed and again the same individual approached to inspect the windshield, and I knew exactly what was going to happen. He approached me and said that there was a chip in my windshield that if I didn't have it repaired, it would spread and eventually I would need to have the windshield replaced. I had him show me this chip, and sure enough, it was the one he repaired two weeks prior. When I told him that, he got this "oh s***" look on his face. Even when we would tell them no, they would follow us in the store and we would literally have to raise our voices and tell them to leave us alone. That was the last time I brought my car there, approximately March 2017. My partner brought his car there in April of this year and the same thing happened with the windshield people, the guy came up to him and told him about a chip he found and my partner told him that it was not possible, and the guy told him that he will show him, and my partner told him, "look, I just bought this car 2 - 3 weeks ago, it's not possible and leave me alone". We've told the management about this and they really had nothing to say to us. We have ready many reviews on *** of other people that have experienced the exact same thing. We truly feel that they are conducting some sort of insurance scam. We have since found another car wash and I have written a review on *** regarding this.
I wish that this business would/could be investigated by the city of ***s or the state of *** or the Insurance Commissioner. If the above cannot be done, I wish the company would be forced to stop doing this!
