They charged me a $50 fee on a late fee that was only 2 days late and it was over the 4th of July weekend. Then today when I went to pick up a few things they gave me a paper where they are now going to charge a $75 late fee plus $10 a day.
Your rent is clearly due on the 1st of each month-I give you a additional 5 days. You still did not pay your rent. Then finally on the 7th you sent in your payment. You clearly know there is a late fee if not paid on time. The 4th of July has no affect on paying your payment on time as you chose to pay by Venmo which can be paid at anytime from anywhere. You then was mad-rude with my employee that was covering the front desk. You then called me rudely and I was not even able to speak to you. Then you hung up on me. I then clearly stated with you what was due. You paid August rent and the past late fee. You then texted me saying you were going to move out your inventory and bring in new inventory to finish out your last 2 months that you are in contract with. Since then you have been bad mouthing my business via Facebook telling others not to shop there, not to be a vendor there all because you failed to pay your rent on time and I enforced the late fee. After you came into the Mall you removed all of your merchandise and lied to my face stating you were bringing in more inventory. You also threatened me stating if I did not release you from your contract you would set at my Mall all day and “talk” to people. I take that as a threat and as if you are going to bad mouth my business to others while setting there all day. You have also text me offering to pay your last two months of rent which would be $200 but you offered $175!!! Ummm to be released from your contract $200 is due OR you may keep your space fill it and finish out your contract as you should. I am NOT releasing you from your contract...YOU brought this upon yourself. YOU paid your rent late...it was YOUR fault! I HIGHLY encourage you to READ contracts for future purposes.
I am a former vendor at Shops at the Old Shed in ***. I moved out due to mismanagement, a lack of advertising, and abysmal sales. I was vocal about all these things during the first 3-4 months of my contract, but the advertising and mismanagement improved a bit, so I stopped complaining and just waited out the remainder of my contract. To my knowledge, we were getting along fine at that point. Angela, the owner, emailed me on January 28th and told me my final check would be 90.56. She also stated she would mail it to me. I had provided her my updated address a couple weeks prior and she had agreed to mail it to that address. She did not. She alleges that she mailed it to my prior address, which is forwarded to my new one. According to both Post Offices, if she had mailed it, the latest it would have arrived was February 7th. As of February 13 it has still not arrived and she continues to refuse to reissue the check, whether or not she stops payment on it. This is neither acceptable nor professional. She made the error, not me, and I highly suspect that she did not mail it in the first place as retribution for my previous complaints. I am due my final check of $ 90.56 and I should not have to continue waiting when it was due January 31, 2019. I have no proof that it was mailed.
Although the business failed to respond to the complaint, the consumer stated she did receive the payment.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
