Review: This merchant advertised a [redacted] on [redacted]. When I ordered it, they canceled the order. When I inquired about why, [redacted], the customer service rep, said it was out of stock. I believe they canceled the order because they had priced it app. $500 less than other vendors. Furthermore they had advertised the same item on Amazon for roughly $500 more. Rather than honor their low price, they made up excuse that it was out of stock. They refused to give a back order status and ship later.Desired Settlement: Produce the item they advertised at th agreed upon price.

This product was the old version of the grill seen on Amazon. The pricing for the product was correct, but we sold out of this model and were unable to fulfill the order placed. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please contact our customer service department and we will be happy to work with you to resolve this issue. We cannot honor the old versions price, but we will certainly work with you to ensure you have a happy experience with Shop Chimney.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because
Business maintains it is merely an out of stock situation, however I maintain that this is a "bait and switch" case. Although the order was placed on Buy.com (also know as [redacted]), as the merchant states, it was ALSO offered on Amazon as well. Furthermore even after the merchant replied that it was an out of stock status, they persisted to offer the same model number on Amazon at a price app. $500 more. Additionally they sent me an email offering the newer model at ~$500 more. Clearly an effort not to honor their original posted price-switching a lower price model (clearly not wanting to sell it at that price), for a higher price(nearly identical)model.

They dealt with me very unprofessionally, and engaged in bad faith negotiation. Luckily the transaction didn't proceed. I will never do business with them.
