In reviewing [redacted]s complaint, she placed an order online with us on 5/16. The item was out of stock and not available for immediate shipment. When an order is placed with us, all credit card orders go through credit card authorization to verify availability of funds and verification of the billing address. We only charge a credit card once an order ships from our warehouse. Since the order has been canceled, [redacted] has not been billed/charged for the transaction. As with any credit card transaction, the temporary authorization that the credit card company assigns is used to hold funds for the consumer's purchases so they do not exceed their credit limit. [redacted]s temporary authorization on her funds was automatically released by the credit card company, since we did not ship the merchandise.
