Shooting Star Horse Farm

We came to Shooting Star after my daughter wanted a less horse show focused barn She is and has shown successfully for years, winning numerous year ends awards and even was even the state champ in two divisions Horses have been a part of our lives for years and we have always been very involved in offering the best care for our ponies
Without notice, Shooting Star management hired a new barn manager and riding instructor rather than keeping the young lady we were taking lessons from The barn management experiences were far less than positive: grain not being ordered in time, poor hay quality, no hay in fields than have been grazed down, horse colicked and no barn manager around, allowed a horse with an obvious upper respiratory illness to be around other horses resulting in several getting sick vs quarantining them, waited much too late in year to switch to night turnout, and most recently, the horse we were leasing suffered a laceration wound to her right front legI requested for the vet and was ignored Two weeks later and the wound looks even worse and no vet had been called still When I notified barn manager and owner, I was told "we didn't think you would care since you aren't going to lease her any longer" and I am rude...all over textWe have pictures of the horses leg and the opinion of other trainers is the vet should have been called and it looks much worse than before Terrible care
Further, the trainer they hired has a terrible reputation in the Triad region as someone who is uneducated and has no business teaching horsemanship There was no way I was going to allow them to teach my daughter
