Mrs. [redacted] purchased the shoes on 4/13/15 and received a 20% discount on her entire purchase. The Shoes were 47.99 plus sales taxes. The Shoe Gallery is not able to accept a return on worn merchandise. We are sorry to disappoint Mrs. [redacted]....


I did contact Sketchers on Mrs [redacted] behalf. Shetchers said they would consider an exchange and deal directly with Mrs [redacted] to resolve her complaint. The contact number is X-XXX-XXX-XXXX for consumer affairs.

The response from shoe gallery is true regarding the purchase. However, it does not address the fact that the product is not suitable for fitness walking as represented by both Sketchers website and the store sales clerk. This could not be determined until they were in fact tried for fitness walking. Sketchers did offer to exchange but its always costly for postage to try shoes by mail (especially is you need to return them several times). Additionally, if these shoes are not as advertised, why would I believe that any of their other models would be satisfactory? And, how could I determine suitability without again walking in them? I am still requesting a refund ... I do not want another Sketcher product.
