I am rejecting this response because: they are still not accepting any responsibility for the problem they caused. Again, my car was fine when I brought it in to their shop and they broke off my stud. They then made me pay for a repair for something they broke. I feel that I should be reimbursed the $labor charge AT A MINIMUM. But honestly, I feel that they should reimburse the full $for labor and part

Thank you for letting me know that we are having an issue with Mrs., [redacted] 2004 jeep liberty. This is the first I have learned of this problem or concern. We do follow up phone calls with all our customers regularly to make sure we are staying on top of things as best we can. Mrs. [redacted] I...
am sure was called to make sure all was ok with what had been performed on her jeep liberty we did leave a message on her phone we did not get to talk to her personally though. We also due follow up thank you letters to all customers monthly. We have had our specials we send out to all our customers during this time of year that would help keep us on our customer’s minds monthly and she would have gotten a 90 day follow up again here this month in the next week. I am a little surprised as to why it took almost 2 months before we heard anything about this as well. I would have thought she would have just called us first but none the less here we are. I have just seen there was a review on yelp in which Mrs. [redacted] expressed her unhappiness with our company just this past weekend I do not know how many others either. Again I do wish she had just called us first to give us a chance to know there was a problem and to handle it in a professional way. Mrs. [redacted] brought her jeep liberty to us on the above date for a starting electrical and engine light diagnosis that was done of her 2004 jeep liberty. we inspected a few different problems with Mrs. [redacted] vehicle the driving or fog lights were only one problem a parking light was another (the front of the jeep liberty had been damaged in some form of front end collision that is just to be noted) a evaporative emission diagnostic was also completed. We tested the lighting circuits for problems powers and grounds. It shows in his notes we had grounds but no power to the running light and the turn signals were flashing fast. The parking light was dim like weak power or ground problem. Which the technician felt he would have to take things apart to track the problems down correctly. Even though he had tested for good grounds and no power. The driving lights problem had good ground and no power during testing. These lights also are controlled through the body control module. Between the switches bulbs fuses and relays were checked and good at that time. I am sure he cleaned up some connections in the process it may have reset the body control module after left unplugged for a period of time. Which we unplugged them to do the testing I am sure of. I would have felt the tech would have plugged them back in at that time but here it looks as if he did not. We found bad wiring and but connecters to the evaporative emmissions system with corroded wiring as well to the fuel tank system. I am sure Mrs. [redacted] was advised of these many concerns for her charges and with an estimate verbally noted to Mrs. [redacted] even if they were not put on our work order in the process as should have been noted more thoroughly the notes were put on the order adreveated instead. We looked at Mrs. [redacted] jeep liberty and noted which I will attach the technicians notes and recommends to this letter as well we do try to keep good records due to the large amount of electrical and diagnostic work we do here. I see on her work order that these notes were not put there for her she was verbally informed. Which we inform customers every customer as to the problems we find. Mrs. [redacted] Repair order was a miss with the notes. Perhaps they did not have time to get them on before she picked up her vehicle. I do apologizes for this we did do the work as stated and I apologies for her situation and unhappiness with our company. I do feel we did the diagnosis on her jeep liberty and were not allowed to go any further to get a complete repair or diagnosis either there were several things that were checked and diagnosed. Again a return phone call may have adverted all of this concern with Mrs. [redacted]. Sincerely Michael Shifflet SR Shifflet Auto Care 614-488-9951

Hello
Mrs. [redacted] I see you came in to our repair center for an oil change and a tire
rotation on one of our special promotion oil change cards. We changed your oil
and filter and rotated your tires topped off your fluids hand torqued your
wheels lug nuts. Replaced a cross threaded or over tightened stud and nut. I
also see this was the third time in for oil changes and first time tire
rotation. Thank you for trying us out with our discounted oil change program.
Please understand we have no desire to repair something that you vehicle does
not need or you do not want us to repair. It is our job on the other hand to
advise you of what we see is wrong or going wrong with your vehicle the
services due or maintenance that need recommended. We pulled your vehicle in
changed your oil and filter topped off the fluids and while rotating your
wheels and tires. That I am sure you have had done previously before at some
other repair center some were. One of
the studs on the left front wheel broke due to being cross threaded or over
tightened from a previous repair center. We hand torque all the wheels that
come out of our shop when we put them on to the specification that the
manufacture recommends. This is also to help these things from happening in the
future. We do believe your vehicle stud and lug nut on that left front wheel
had been cross threaded. From some other repair center person that had your
wheels off previously and we still do.
To us and any other repair center I do not care who they are this is
something we all have ran into before from time to time. I do feel we charged
you correctly and fairly for the repairs of your vehicle that were done to your
vehicle. We returned you old parts to you and explained the situation to you
how it happened and why it happened.
Then you had us to repair it for you per your authorization. I do not see were we did anything wrong to
your vehicle. We took good care of you and your vehicle changed your oil,
filter, rotated your tires did our visual inspection of your vehicle advised
you of recommend repairs that need to be done charged what was fair and due
thanked you for your business and sent you on your way in a safe vehicle. There
is one thing I will add if your vehicle had been here in the past we had
rotated your wheels and tires and a stud had broken then we may have felt
responsible and taken care of it but at this time I do not feel we are thank
you again for your time and business.09/30/2015 again I do not feel or see were we did anything but take care of your broken vehicle that some one had cross threaded or overtightened the lugs on previous.

Hello, I just received an email stating that the complaint I made ID# 12558578 has been closed due to no response on my part.I'm sorry but I never received the forwarded response from the business owner as it went to my spam folder. There has beenno resolution in this matter. The business owner claimed they called me about this matter and they did not. I never received a call. The point is, they wanted to charge me $600 to fix a parking light and fog light. As he stated HIS technician left the lights unplugged. My local mechanic plugged them back in and my lights have been working fine ever since. They ripped me off by making me pay for a false electrical diagnostic test that "claimed" I needed a 4-way switch and all of my ground wires replaced. Those test results are simply a lie as I had nothing fixed on my lights and they are now working perfectly, thanks to my HONEST mechanic who simply plugged them back in. I paid $123 for a diagnostic test and Shifflet's technician unplugged my lights and left them unplugged and hoped I was stupid enough to pay $600 to get them fixed. That is very deceitful and dishonest. As for it "taking 2 months" to address this issue... I just had my Jeep Liberty into my mechanics garage for another repair and I asked that he take a look at my lights as well.. just for a second opinion. He was blown away when I told him how much Shifflet Auto wanted to charge me, he took the front end apart and said the connections were just laying there unplugged. It took him a couple of minutes to plug them in and they were fixed. Unbelievable! Also, Shifflet Auto did not inform me of any problems with my EVAP system. I already knew a code for the EVAP popped up but they never mentioned anything about "corroded or bad wires to the EVAP system." They wrote down that the Evap code showed up which I already knew when I brought it in.. But they did not mention anything else about the EVAP. I wasn't there for the EVAP anyways, I was there for my parking light and fog light.. so the EVAP has nothing to do with my issue for bringing my car into their establishment. He claimed that they explained all of this for the fee I paid for the test but they did not. I paid $123 for the test and basically was handed a receipt with no real explanation to the issues other than I would have to pay a hefty repair fee of $600 (including the test) for my lights to start working again. Lies.As the owner stated the notes that their technician wrote down were not detailed and entailed very minimal information concerning the results. Obviously they were bummed about not being able to scam me for the $600 when I told them there was no way I was paying $600 to fix a parking light and fog light! It has been proven that my lights did not need repaired, that their technician "forgot" to plug them back in.At this point, I don't care about the money or receiving a refund for their bogus test. As long as my review is on the website. I have already made this issue known to the Attorney General as well as my local mechanics so they will no longer recommend Shifflet Auto to customers. Thank you for your time but I have a feeling there is no coming to a resolution with this company when they will not own up to their mistakes. But paying for an electrical diagnostic test and their technician can't even plug my light back in?? Of course my lights aren't going to work! This place should be ashamed how they run business, I'm just lucky that I have honest mechanics I know and that I did not pay $600 to Shifflet to "fix" lights that didn't even need fixed! It is very underhanded to unplug a customers lights and then tell them they basically need their whole front-end repaired! I want others to know about my experience with this dishonest business, so thank you for leaving my review on your site.Lesson learned.Sincerely,
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Update; on...
friday the 10th of october,2014 ,I recieved a call from [redacted] inquiring as to what transpired to cause the issue of complaint, Mr. [redacted] was away on personel business and was just now getting to matters at hand since his return. Mr. [redacted] was very courteous and listened to me explain why I felt the repair to the coolant and refridgeration lines was unsatisfactory. Mr.[redacted] asked if I would return the vehicle so they could see if they could improve the method of attaching the lines to the frame of the vehicle. I agreed to allow him the oppourtunity to rectify this situation and requested an oil change also.
I asked Mr. [redacted] if his garage could find out what was leaking in the freshly repaired a/c system that blew out the 3rd time I drove the vehicle, and he told me it would be no charge to diagnose this newly developed issue, I asked for an estimate to repair the system if I provided the parts I have already purchased. understanding that I would have no warranty from Shifflet's auto repair if any of the parts I provided failed, of course I was in agreement to this as to the fact that the parts I purchased have thier own warranty.
it is wednesday the 15th of october,2014 and I am yet to hear any response about my vehicles status,A few more days perhaps.
